Mendoza notched a few “Heisman moments” the last two games. Cig needs to let him sling it against our remaining opponents and get him to the 35-40 TD range. Bring home the statue!

Cig, AT and George T seem to have consensus. IMO, the fourth spot needs to go to “Replogle.” Not any specific Replogle, but the word is (not actually) Latin for “Indiana Football Legacy.”

They rarely ever do. Yea there are other options, but there aren’t any marquee games that weekend at campuses they haven’t already gone to this season. This is also assuming they’ll go to LSU (vs A&M) Week 9 and to Texas Tech (vs BYU) Week 11.

Stinks for UCLA! And things keep up at this rate I think we’re looking at hosting Gameday Week 12 against Wisconsin. There are much bigger games in the SEC, but Gameday has already gone to Athens and Tuscaloosa this season.

BS no call, and the o-line needs a halftime powwow with these flags. May have saved us from ourselves in that one though. That was all emotions by Cig going for it.

I’ve felt the same way, but this is a new era and you can throw out the history books. Soft parity has finally arrived in college football, and if you’re “in the club” conference/financially, which IU definitely is, then you have a decent chance at being competitive more often than not. We should be viewed as an underdog from an NFL standpoint and not an 83-20 CFB schalacking standpoint. If Zander Diamont and Tevin Coleman can lead 2014 OSU in the 4th at the Shoe, then this team can go into Autzen and win.

Spread is down to -7.5. At a minimum, Cig usually covers. I’m not participating in prediction leagues this season, but I think we keep this close until the end, if not pull this off. Just need to make sure our play calling isn’t timid. We’ve been more conservative against top teams since Cig’s arrival. Let Fernando sling it and sling it often.

We still need to create a buffer if we’re 10-2. Michigan and Notre Dame are very likely to also be 10-2, and there will be a slew of SEC teams in that range as well. They’ll all have more ranked wins than us because over half the SEC is currently ranked. Right now our three best friends are USC, Illinois, and Duke. USC has upcoming games against both Michigan and Notre Dame, and Illinois going 10-2 would be huge for us. Duke gets both Georgia Tech and Virginia at home and can really help ensure the ACC only gets one bid (assuming Miami wins the ACC championship game).
