  1. Just remember that even we didn’t know who Charlie Becker was the first time we played Oregon.
  2. Former Michigan State big and still drunk Paul Davis got tossed from the MSU game last night, with Izzo telling him to GTFO from across the floor. https://x.com/CBBonFOX/status/2008384022817436147?s=20 So IU fans, which former player (besides Will Sheehy) would you most like to see show up drunk and get tossed from AH?
  3. Only because it may rain… The real Cream and Crimson football team - 34 The stupidest sons of b!tch3s alive (but sure are fast) - 17
  4. Not sure where else to put this, but I just saw that “Btown legend” Ken Nunn passed away yesterday.
  5. Oregon still doing that pre-snap defensive line shift BS. I thought that was a penalty now? They weren’t called on it against us, and JMU is now picking up false starts as a result.
  6. Expanding on my own thought (are self quotes worth a badge here?)…I caught the “Bama-OU but we’re really U of O” postgame with Tebow and a few others… They like us in the next game but “We have not seen Indiana down and have to recover the way we saw Bama do so tonight.” So now we play schleprock football for not starting games down 17-0?
  7. McAfee has our backs, but the door is open for Paul BaldTrollDumb@$$, Matt Barrie, and Stephen A Dipsmith to say “Indiana has never been here before” when picking the village idiot that Alabama football has become.
  8. The more I watch Colorado football this season (5 minutes total), the more I agree with Shadeur having his number retired. How he ever won 8 games with those guys will forever be a mystery :)
  9. Kennesaw State down 34-0 to Western Michigan in the 2Q of the Myrtle Beach Bowl…
  10. Nice discussion https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qxt7szCk8os&t=3551s
  11. It’s Purdue meets Death Valley, and the result is mid-football.
  12. Another option is we move the press box to the east side (shorter side, like VT). One option I would hate is if we start stacking one side’s seats much higher. Maryland did that and their stadium looks terrible as a result. Even Oklahoma and LSU did that to an extent, although their stadiums are a bit more balanced because of their sizes.
  13. It’s the press box by a mile. We can add “seats through suites” as the first step to expand the stadium’s capacity. Virginia Tech essentially has the same stadium foundation as us (along with Wake Forest and I think Vanderbilt). You can see how much their press box enhances the feel. I would love something like this in Memorial Stadium. VT also expanded their seating in the end zones. Our last two stadium expansions won’t allow for something like they have, but if attendance holds for the next 5-7 years I think we can consider adding additional seats in the south end zone next to where the video board is.
  14. (Before getting silly here, can we please stop hating every individual who accomplished good things at IU, made a good faith effort to improve our university/AD, and in the grand context of things was not a deliberately incompetent POS, like some other ADs and university presidents around the country? [see Penn State, Michigan right now, the Ivy leagues the last few years…] Fred Glass was not the worst thing to happen to our AD and was actually part of a continuum of our AD trending upwards from when it was truly stuck in the past as Greenspan took over). With that said…maybe I’m misremembering timelines, but I could have sworn that Tim Curley was Penn State’s AD while Fred Glass was ours…? Just for some perspective ;) And as we’re patting ourselves on the back while lambasting trivial aspects of our university, I’d like to throw my name into the conversation by stating that between undergrad and grad school, I had season tickets for six seasons of dreadful IUFB and went to every game. So “if everyone was like me,” then IUFB would’ve turned the corner from a fandom perspective decades ago and likely would’ve pulled better coaches much earlier. Just about every IU fan/alum (except me and probably 12 other posters on this site) is to blame for IUFB dogging it for decades, and when Cig came here and wanted to upgrade everything, from apparently our popcorn to toilets to our fans, he wasn’t talking about me! All I can say when looking at these young students and new fans enjoying the fruits of my apparent IUFB fan labor…
  15. He doesn’t realize that if you’re going to be a braindead ram rod in football you at least have to be likable (see Cam Skattebo)
