2 things: 1) neither of us knows why he chose IU and this timing to commit. We can speculate, but we don’t know. What we do know is this: he’s not some 16yo who just hiked in from a village in East Bumphrey, Bosnia. He’s a 21yo professional basketball player and I guarantee you he made a decision with his eyes wide open and fully understanding the situation. 2) I really don’t know what you would expect to hear in that scenario. “I am incredibly excited to start this next chapter of my career and I look forward to getting here in June and going to work with Coach Stev……., uh, Coach Woodson and the staff.” Kid said exactly the right thing.

1. If that’s a spectrum of result he’s closer to the Illinois kids than Dinc. 6’7” snipers who know how to play and can’t be left can help any team in any system. 2) See #1. -

Nope, this is what you say. It means he has people around him who are smart enough to advise him to say nothing and get the interview over with. -

Looked at that for a second and thought the score was IU trailing. -
Would think he’ll be matched up defensively with Cam Boozer a fair bit. That will be very interesting to watch.

Yeah, he’s landlocked, no doubt. He’s also pretty clearly not the most flexible kid. But he’s strong enough and if his awareness is good enough, and 1 of those steals he read from 2 passes away so he understood their action, he’s got a decent chance to hold up. But, man, that stroke looks like it was architecturally designed. That’s not just some guy with a gift. That is thousands of hours of work. Every 1 is identical. Doubt he ever slumps. Hire his shooting coach as well. Also would think the ball never sticks with him. Shot, drive or pass and cut with no hesitation at all. -

Sure he does. No way his people haven’t done their homework. -

Yup. Warren Twnshp(Jaxson Davis) was part of the 1st schedule I saw but aren’t now and Owasso(Jalen Montanati) was part of their original rollout promotion but it looks like they went to Springhall instead. -

I am actually seeing Chronister tomorrow and Saturday at the Quincy Shootout. Really looking forward to it, interest or no interest. -

Oh yeah. He’s 1 for 2 for the season on 3’s. I’m putting his over/under on made 3’s at 2.5 and he’ll crush it. One of them will probably be banked in. You can feel it coming. -
Ya know, when Woody was hired the 1 thing I would’ve bet he’d be good at, if nothing else, was the press part. The HC of the freaking Knicks deals with the nastiest press in the country and you just knew he’d be great at spouting cliches, saying nothing, and getting out of Dodge. No, to add to all else he’s terrible at it. The “I don’t have a plan for Reneau yet” thing from the other day. $hit like this. The “real fans” stuff. I swear to God.

Just read someone’s description of Ware as, “looks like Wemby before purchasing attribute upgrades.” Yeah, that’s pretty reasonable.

Also had 2 blocks. According to ESPN Stats Kel’el is the 1st player with a 20/15/2 line in his 1st career start since David freaking Robinson. So 35 years.

He was tweeting approvingly during the game about how much the officials were letting go. Kind of assume if he was leaving he’d just lay low until an announcement. Feels promising.

Did OSU, after getting the ball run straight down their throats for the entire drive, really line up on the 1 with a 3 man front?

Heads up: this is really a great event. Went last year when it was at Brownsburg and with the exception of their pathetic excuse for concessions, there was literally 1 open stand, awesome. You’re seeing a ridiculous number of future Guys in a pretty intimate setting and last year it was maybe half full the 1st 2 days and probably 3/4 the last day. So there was plenty of room. Highly recommend.

Oh, Andrews had a bad one. Had, I believe 2 drops. Had a fumble. It was definitely not his night.

Imagine you’re right. But it’ll pass in a couple of days and the narrative will return to the “Lamar can’t win the big one” stuff. I really hated for either Jackson to Allen to lose that game because they’re great players and great faces for their franchises and now Lamar‘s gonna have to listen to the same crap for another year. And if Allen can’t go on the road and win with a lesser team he’ll catch it, too. I’d take either of those guys in a New York freaking second.

https://www.maxpreps.com/in/evansville/evansville-reitz-panthers/basketball/schedule/ Ok, I need help from someone who knows southern Indiana HS hoops.i want to get over and see Mitchell in person if I can fit it in. Take a look at the schedule above and tell me which are the games to catch or the games to definitely avoid. Appreciate it.
