Crean got these guys focused on the defensive side of the ball tonight. We've finally seen a good defensive effort, unfortunately we are seeing one or the other. Time to see good O and D

We definitely lose fire power on offense without JBJ but we might be a better team without him. Too early to really know but we are certainly more of a defensive minded team without him. I hope he returns healthy with the same offensive weapons but a new attention to the defensive side of the ball

We played 1 good half, one bad half. It was good enough today but won't be against the upper half if the bigten So many strange, atypical Crean things happening. I shared a stat on here a long time ago that was staggering about winning the first half and losing the second half. In Crean's time we lost the second half twice as much as the first half. We rarely ever came back from a large deficit. This year we are playing better in the second half and coming back in games where we are down. Something is very different this year. Defense still sucks but something is different

Not sure what to make of this but, IU had their biggest comeback win in the Crean era this year against ND (-16). We should have never been down 16 but nevertheless, we came back and won. I don't know if that was a complete fluke or something different that is happening. Anytime during Crean's time here that we have been down double digits I have said, well, we're done and we always been, but for the first team, we fought back. Maybe it was a fluke, maybe not, just trying to find something positive regarding this coach and team

it sounds like he is a big supporter of the program and backs it up with his wallet, that sounds good to me. As we have discussed, one can be an IU supporter and not a Tom Crean fan.

of course he will be able to find another job and likely a decent one, but he has plenty of money and could quit to be his son or daughters coach or something that no one could really put him down for and from a PR standpoint would be a good story. Won't happen, just saying he would need an out if he were to just walk away

if there is one thing Crean isn't, it's a quitter. He is too narcissistic and stubborn to quit. He would have to have something else lined up he could say is his passion or dream to leave for to save face.
