  1. I'm with Stuhoo, Mcswain is strong and has a similar hairstyle, other than that...
  2. That was essentially my claim so not sure what you mean. No more scheduling road games against these types of opponents is what I was told from a meeting this morning
  3. Well, we are, across all sports is what I was told this morning
  4. IU administration tells athletic departments that no more scheduling these types of games for any sport. Will honor existing schedules but no more... Not worth the PR nightmare
  5. Bryant, Blackmon and OG were terrible. Wouldn't imagine a scenario where all 3 were that bad but they were.
  6. Bushes baked beans?
  7. Excited for this season. Will know more about this teams potential after the Kansas game
  8. Got bleachers for $1,200 this morning
  9. One has to donate $25k+ per year to even be eligible. Are there really even that many people eligible to fill it each home game? Looks like there are a lot of seats in that section. Could be way off but wouldn't think there were more than a few hundred people that are even eligible
  10. Hopefully we see more of a desire to defend from him
  11. Haha, did you also see that he called justin, Jordan and the staff gave him the stink eye?
  12. Parents didn't buy IU gear at the book store?
  13. He looks really good. Seems like he can do it all. Will be interesting to see if he ends up being an all-America type like his dad
  14. OG was close to leaving after last year? Might be true but seems contrary to everything out there
  15. any word on whether he can ball? No doubt he is an athlete/physically mature, I think most are concerned he is a project vs someone that can help immediately
  16. I saw this video too and immediately looked at the brand SUV he is sitting in. Those in glass houses kid
  17. It's been laid out there pretty clearly. I'm not sure what you aren't understanding or believing here as coaches have laid it out there for you and it hasn't sunk in so I think I am wasting my time. You've heard it from coaches and I've heard it from a player. It's a real problem that Could be minimized
  18. I guess I just don't understand what you were saying there then. No player wants to stay on a team where a coach has made things uncomfortable for you and made plans without you or in your place. Your as good as dead if you are suggested to leave and you don't. "Grudge" or whatever you call it, your viewed and treated as one that stood in the way of progress/coaches agenda
  19. There have been several. The point is, every coach makes some mistakes in recruitment and not every player pans out, but there are things one can do to mitigate it. Eliminate recruiting with a shotgun approach, stop offering players you have only seen once or twice and in some cases only in practice, cutting back on the over sign etc would be a start. Coaches are holding him accountable for his missteps and I don't blame them. I love IU and can admit I saw more adjustment and improvement from Crean this season than any other, but he has his faults and transfers are one of them, more so than most. I hope this works out well for our current players and Freddie
  20. Will numbers that were by year change if I do?
  21. Are you saying "it just isn't" at IU or in college basketball? There was a good article/video that came out a bit ago about an ex assistant that lifted the curtain on college basketball and it's happenings in regards to coaching/recruiting etc. I'm not basing my stance on that article but it is additional validation. In a nutshell, he said that if there was a player on the team that was not valuable and they had another recruit that they did value but needed that scholarship spot, they would go to all lengths to make sure the kid transferred. Step one was subtle, telling the kid that they didn't see him contributing and that they might find more time elsewhere. If that didn't work then they would tell them they suggest that he transfer. If that didn't work they would begin to ostracize the kid, etc etc. it's not just one simple conversation where everything goes back to normal or is hunky dory after the conversation whether they stay or go. And for another poster that said something to the effect of it happening all over te bigten and NCAA, that is true but I and a few other people crunched the numbers at one point and Crean was #1 in the bigten over a several year period. He's earned it and I can see why high school coaches are wary.
  22. Wish Crean had 4 years with him, would feel better about it, with only two, it might not be long enough to get the most out of him. We'll see
  23. It is a grey area but unfortunately Crean earned that euphemism and he is going to have to earn the removal of that label. For several years he lead the bigten in transfers, that's not good. And to be clear, telling a kid that he isn't going to play and that he might want to look around is not that different than just pulling his scholarship. That kid is then left with no other option than to leave as coach has made up his mind about you and is making moves that do not include you. If the kid decides to stay he will likely stay at the end of the beach and walk ons will be given garbage time before you... I feel bad for some of the kids but I am also not in favor of giving scholarships to kids that had little to no chance to ever help either. We cannot afford to bring on more Aprils and Prillars again
  24. Where is ex-Hoosier on this one?
