    I don't know that you need a college guy, or should avoid an NBA guy or what. What you do need is a guy that is going to adapt. I am not sure that Woody is really doing that. I think he's trying to get a square NBA peg into a round college hole. Thus the "hockey" subs. Would be nice to see him adapt some of his NBA stuff to be more college friendly.

    Add no shots until either a post touch or less than 5 on the shot clock. What kills us is the quick 3, 10 seconds into the clock that clanks off the rim -- that's effectively a turnover.

    They are somewhere in between. We are not as good, overall talent wise, as the Aurburn/Uconn/Kansas. But we did hang with each team at points. But we are nowhere near as bad as beating Moorehead state by only 1 point. Our talent is significantly better -- as shown by our ability to turn it on the last 5-6 minutes. That's mental.

    Right. But there was nothing about the kid that showed he was "explosive." I suppose if you check out a few highlights someone can be "tricked" into thinking that. That was my point.

    They beat Purdue twice, they might. Tall order though.

    Except for X, they’re 18-20 year old kids. They do what kids do — up and down emotionally. These guys clearly play down to their competition. Thus, they come out flat. Need to develop that killer crush em, take no prisoners, instinct.

    I guess in my book a true five star has above average athleticism plus refined skills and a history of success. Kind of the whole package.

    Don’t get me wrong. I think the kid has the potential to be an excellent player — tops in the Big10. But I do think he needs a few years in college though to make that next level. And that’s good for US. Right now he looks tentative and uncomfortable.
