That attitude got us in this mess when the program blew up under Sampson. We can have it all. Just need to find the right coach which to date has been a complete cluster fk. Crean was close but fell short. Archie, wtf was that. Woodson looking more and more like a bust. Gotta find that hungry guy with a complete plan.

Woodson has talked about playing inside out — Passing from the post to get the open three point shot. The problem is we have a bunch a brick layers out there. He’s failed to get players that can shoot. He is a lot of talk and very little action.
-
Yep huge egos. That comes with coaching. The key is to find the guy who hates to lose more than stroking his ego.
-
Really they weren’t ? You would think this would be a big week to get out there with no games to get in the way.
-
Sure, now he breaks out. But seriously, how long do you stick with a guy? Do we stick with Gunn because he might breakout as a junior?

But here's the thing. My kid grew up listening to his mom and I tell him how great the 87 Championship was. His first Assembly Hall game was the Wat Shot year 2011/12. Went to vs. Ohio State on New Year's Eve -- for the victory. He was 11. Watched the run in 2012/13. Crean wasn't able to sustain it, but there was always hope. The Miller era brought renewed hope that we finally found the young, generational coach to take IU back to where it belonged. Kid ended up entering as a Freshman in 2018, with Romeo. We were back, baby!!!! But we weren't. After three years and lots of frustration, Miller is out. Woodson enters, and at least gets them to the tournament again. But the kid -- he looks at me and says "this sucks." And so another fan is lost.

Basically the same. If you want to be great, you adjust. If you just want to cash a check and get bought out, then you don't.
-
The great coaches all are able to adjust -- to personal, to game matchups, to league rules, etc. To date, Mike Woodson has shown an inability to make such adjustments.
-
What the hell are you talking about? Armond Hill actually shifted in his seat during the game at Wisconsin.

Is the system a function of the players or of the coach? I mean, really what "system" is he running? Seems to me, he would want to play inside out. Option 1 is to get it inside and let the big go to work, as the defense collapses, pass it outside and put up a three, or pass around and drive as the defense comes out of the middle. We have the big. We don't have the shooter, nor the kid that can really drive and take it to the rim. And when they get the chance to shoot or drive, they wet their pants and put up a brick or turn the ball over.

I guess they didn’t teach paragraphs in IU English.

Let’s start small. How about — don’t come off the three point sharpshooter. The defensive rotations are obviously too complex for the college game. Need to adjust.

You dream.

Except cig has a record. This isn’t his first rodeo. You can just tell by the size of his balls.
-
He actually has. Improved the roster. Improved the coaching staff. For starters. But I get your point. He’s won as many games as I have. Still not ready to throw Dolson to the ditch.
-
Same guy hired Cig. I get what you’re saying but it’s basketball not rocket science. I would expect any coach with a brain could figure out the nuisances between levels in short order. As long as his ego let him. I don’t think woody is adapting life he needs to.
