Not a lot of quality coaches are going to want to be sloppy seconds to that guy who isn't coaching anymore. Can you imagine the call: Hey _____ (fill in your guy), how would you like to coach IU. yeah, let's not forget IU is more than athletics. Going to have to a whole lot more than a bad basketball coach to get removed. Heck a strong contingent of taxpayers probably object to the money spent on athletics anyway.

Free agency with no rules. It is not sustainable. NCAA has no choice but to move to a contract model. Meaning players will contractually commit for a period of years. So will teams. Transfers, NBA, etc. will be governed by the contract.

Yeah, I’m good with more time for Woodson. However, he has to be accountable to Dolson. What happened to the offense he talked about when hired? Why does HS recruiting suck? Do we really have the best assistants? Why can’t we hit a freaking free throw? And most importantly, what is the plan moving forward? What changes and adjustments are going to be made? Absent some hard core self reflection and critique he should be gone. Doing the same thing and expecting different results is insanity.

I know these kids want to win, dance and get a Championship and hit the NBA. But a little reality is in order. Could Malik go somewhere and be that missing piece that puts a team over the top? Doubt it. But he could be a solid contributor to any team. Transferring doesn't guarantee a championship. Would MM start on a champion caliber team? I have my doubts. If they think Woodson is providing positive guidance toward the next level and they are improving, staying is in their best interest. TJD stuck around and may be the steal of the draft.
