Does anybody want Crean? lol

Years ago, probably on another IU board, I got blasted for saying Crean is insecure. This is what insecure people do. They constantly make excuses and they get other people to make their excuses for them. A PR firm to promote a second rebuild...it's one thing to think about that, but actually say it? So glad this bozo got canned.

I think he misses being able to post that Crean is coming back and that he and Glass are BFF's.

There are going to be a lot of things Miller does that any normal coach would do, and after watching Crean for 9 years, we're probably going to think it's new and intriguing. I wonder if we're still going to have players graduating in 3 years. This was something Crean really pushed, and although it was supposed to show they were great students, it always kind of rubbed me the wrong way, like he was rushing them through so he could have more scholarships to throw around.

South Carolina and Gonzaga are in the Final 4 for the first time. Oregon is there for the first time since 1939. That's three more schools you can add to the list of teams that have been to a Final 4 since the last time Purdue made it.

What did he save us from?

Tough times for UK fans...back to back years of watching other teams in the Final Four, still no perfect season, and they no longer have Tom Crean to obsess over.

I know. So many of us wake up on third base and act like we hit a triple.

It felt like the winner of this game will be cutting down the nets next week. I think Oregon losing their best player will finally catch up with them and the South Carolina-Gonzaga winner will probably be overwhelmed.

That program needs to fall into mediocrity and stay there. I'm not sure anyone profited from our post-Knight failures more than them.

He said IU didn't contact HIM. IU was in contact with his agent multiple times to gauge his interest.

He'd have to make the tourney first...something he's only done 8 out of 18 times.

When has Crean ever "poached" any recruits? Usually he's the one getting his lunch money taken away.

Maybe not a popular opinion, but I don't want him anywhere near this program. Let him go be someone else's headache. A nice gesture on his part to be at this game today, but his time here is finished.

Totally believable. It doesn't help that there are countless pictures/GIF's of Crean making weird faces and acting like a lunatic.

Miller is not awkward. He is a basketball coach who is confident in himself and his ability to teach what he knows. Crean was awkward, and once you got past his "vision," it was usually just a bunch of baseless drivel and confusing platitudes.

Sampson and Davis both won 21 games with their first teams. I think Miller is definitely capable of that.

We should send him a card telling him we've been thinking of him a lot. A whole lot.

These teams accomplished what they did because their coaches are winners. Crean is a loser. Winners embrace challenges. Losers make excuses. Winners keep winning because they can adjust; losers fail because they can't or don't want to.

All the whining from Purdue fans about how it was practically a home game for Kansas...didn't seem to bother Oregon.

For their sake, I hope they set the bar a little higher than that.
