  1.   Tate last week, Nunn this week, both domestic violence. Can't blame you for the feeling of deja vu.
  2. Is this 4 or 5 arrests for Illini players this year? Two domestic violence arrests in one week. Something is seriously wrong with that program.
  3. I am still baffled that we are facing Kentucky in the round of 32. Both teams are criminally under seeded. BIG outright champ and SEC champ face each other the first weekend? This is just jury-rigged seeding to get the TV audience they want in the first weekend. No other 3 seed or 4 seed is as good as Kentucky.
  4.   Line may be overstated by the amount of public money coming in on Indiana's side (recognizable team, large alumni base). I expect this game to be a close one.
  5.   It specifically says three point range: "He was shooting 43.6 percent from 3-point range, having hit 48 of 100 shot attempts."   Not trying to make a big deal out of it, I am just confused.   Edit: Checking ESPN stats, it should be 48 of 110 shot attempts. That makes more sense.
  6. Hopefully he is correct about not having any limitations on the court. Rojo was playing fantastic defense before he went down and that ankle will definitely need to be 100% to stay in front of the caliber of guards we will see in the tournament.   Am I missing something in the bold portion below?  I think it is supposed to be 110 shot attempts for the percentage to work out.
  7. On to the tournament that matters... Seeding won't be nearly as favorable. Hopefully we rest up and have ROJO ready to go.
  8.   That's what I mean - aren't those all interviews? I thought the best segments are when he has the mic and is just spouting off about basketball/listeners/twitter etc.
  9. Does Dakich ever post full show podcasts? I used to look those up but remember only finding interview clips.
  10. Returning in a limited capacity I wonder? Probably don't want to push it too much for the BTT.
  11.   Yes, it could absolutely turn out poorly. Will UI have the budget for both Lovie and top notch assistants? Cheaping out on assistants is one way to derail that hire.    I maintain that it is a home run hire though. Definitely winning the press conference and electrifying the fan base. Time will tell if that translates to wins on the field.
  12. I mean, if you're comparing NFL hires then sure go ahead and make that argument. But this is college. The Lovie hire is compared to programs like Illinois hiring some small conference nobody and hoping it works out. Lovie is a popular, out of work coach being hired by the state university in the state where he made his name. Tony Dungy would be the same for IU. Not sure why you would argue with that comparison. It's why I chose Dungy as an example. I thought that was obvious but happy to explain.
  13. Wilson vs a long tenured, popular, widely known NFL coach... Hmm I wonder which I would choose. This would be like IU hiring Tony Dungy or Chuck Pagano. No contest. Illinois is making a home run hire if true.
  14. If it's Lovie Smith... Wow. I don't know if he can recruit but players will want to come play for him. This is the kind of coaching candidate IU should target...
  15. Can I just say how much I love Robert Johnson's enthusiasm? I was watching highlights this morning and every big moment seemingly had a shot of Rojo going absolutely nuts/falling over on the bench. I thought he was a pretty subdued guy from his on-court demeanor but WOW does he love watching Yogi drain threes.
  16. Dorsey posted 2 sex tapes to Twitter. http://deadspin.com/minnesota-suspends-three-players-after-one-tweets-sex-t-1761925904
  17. Iowa is on the ropes. I never count on winning BIG road games but we have a good chance of knocking them out of the race Tuesday. Let's go champs!
  18. I don't get the Bryant to the NBA talk. I suppose it's all about potential, but Max has been the better post player on IU this year. Not saying Max will be in the league obviously... Saying that the guy getting outplayed by Max won't be either.
  19.   I don't know, I waver on this. You don't want him to pick up another foul but you also don't want to keep one of your best players on the bench for 15 minutes straight. I'd rather see him foul out late in the game than not play any minutes for fear of fouling out. Especially last night as Iowa was getting a ton of offensive boards in the second half.
  20. Maybe it's just me but I have not noticed, or seen much complaint about, the usual mass substitutions at inconvenient times this year.    Am I missing something?    That is one of the more rampant coaching issues from the Crean era and I have not really seen it this year.
  21.   Dakich said it best last night. Troy is the type of player that makes basketball harder than it needs to be.
  22.   Z3 has been very disappointing this season. I'm ready to see more OG minutes.
  23.   Nobody on our team could even stay in front of him. Hartman, Troy, Max, OG, TB all tried and all failed. They made Hayes look like an NBA all-star last night. Of course he racked up a bunch of foul calls.
