Terrible metrics loss. But it was always gonna be a loss. Same scenario applies. Gotta win 3 of the next 4. That was always gonna be the case. Now will we? Idk, seems 50/50 to me. Just piss poor planning to not build a better team from jump. Wilkerson has said internally they think they are a top 10 team. That probably comes from top down. Did DeVries really believe that as he built this? Or is confidence building coach speak? Idk. But this team was never gonna be top 10 good and that’s just crazy. We were 2 A level Players away. Get the right 2. Might cost ya 3 or 4 million.

Gonna need that at 4 or 5 positions tbh. And paying what we will need to pay, we can’t miss much. Not a single projected returner/freshman that projects to a starter on a top 20 team. I could see Dorn/Sisley with a lot of improvement or maybe Prince as the 4th/5th option. (Maybe). Lots of teams are gonna return dudes. Because the pay is too good to ignore.

There was a poster that saw this season coming as it was being built but was told he’s too much of a pessimist and just loves being negative. Never understood the vision. We are exactly what I thought we’d be. I thought DeVries would be better. Besides that, this is what I saw coming as it was being built. Not sure who is knocking down the doors to play at IU next year after what we’ve put together. Really gonna be a challenge for the staff this offseason.

But Jasai can maybe shoot it. Dorn can shoot it. Sisley can’t. But I think his hustle and IQ would give us some spark we don’t get from Miles or Dorn. Dorn has been broken. Jasai is mostly just a defender. Streaky at best shooter.

Won’t surprise me at this point if he’s wearing black and gold next year. He’s a 7th or 8th man at this point His inability to shoot free throws all of the sudden aligned with his PT decline. He’s smart and has a great motor though. Would like to see what he could give us.

I doubt we do. But yes, we will need a miracle to build an excitement worthy team for next year.

Very predictably pathetic. Was clear we didn’t have a chance in this one. we don’t deserve to dance. Maybe we will, maybe we won’t, but we should not get the chance. I truly hope DeVries and company learned something this year. For the love of all things, put together a better roster next season. A top 25 roster.

I’m torn. I want to see US/Canada. But I think I would have enjoyed seeing the upset. Canada earned that one. Outplayed them for 2 plus periods. It’s been a Good Friday to have off work so far.

Unreal! Never, ever would I have believed Indiana would have had a top 3 paid coach in the land. Our stadium seats 60% what the big boys do. Need to generate the revenue in other ways. Incredible! Also, a few years back the idea of paying Brad Stevens 8-10 was equally unimaginable. Hopefully DeVries has the fire and the resources to build something special for basketball here soon.

Awesome sauce. As a athlete, hockey has always been my #1. Love Olympic hockey. The ladies showed out. The tying goal was remarkable, especially with the goalie pulled. OT winner was slick!

Incredible! Tried sitting on the lead in the third. That’s always dangerous. And I hate that style of hockey/soccer.

Would love to have one of those unconscious type shooting night from our big 3 and knock them back. Wilkerson has been the only really consistent one of late. Dorn is on a major slide. Not sure what to chalk that up too.

As I said earlier, that’s gonna be a tough one. Hope we don’t have to have it. 2-4 in the final stretch probably doesn’t get it done.

Yaxel was 2-3 million area. top 3 portal player. Mara, Morez and Cadeau power conference contributors didn’t come cheap. 5 star McKenny Then still need paid, N. Burnett (former 5 star), Gayle, Tschetter. Big money on top 8. Maybe they didn’t outspend us by a ton. But the rosters were always a mismatch and we likely overspent. my guess is we spent 10-11. I think they spent more.

But there will be. Imo we don’t have the funds or momentum to build a top 5 roster. Or top 10. Just gotta get in that perennial top 25 range and go from there. Michigan spent big bucks, plus had a lot of guys knocking on their door. We won’t have that, at that level.

Better than 0-2 for sure. One of our 2 or 3 good wins. Football has been spectacular. Doesn’t change that we are bubblicious with a non competitive team at the top level. We are 1 or 2 games away of missing the dance. But that’s the standard this year, so hopefully we fulfill it.

Hard to watch the success Michigan is having. Purdue is legit good. Not Michigan level good. Fear we are gonna get belted Friday.
