Interesting. We needed more “NIL”. Crean was willing and able but he had the reins put on him. (Would still land a few). Wish we woulda figured it out years ago. There was a certain level Indiana wouldn’t approach. Then the UNC, Dukes, Kentucky, Kansas of the world would take over. Sampson had it figured out.

So Rancik was indeed likely the pivot if Sherrell was a no. That makes the most sense. I’m very very confident the Sherrell commitment is happening very soon and probably today. When that happens that will give us 9. back up big. Back up guard. I’m not sure we fill 13. Curious if we get a another player of Starter caliber? I kinda feel like we should. Khamenia is guy I like. Jake Hall would be strong too. (Athleticism?)

Current roster Rothstein puts us at 43. Sherrell will bump that maybe 8-10 spots. Not sure we are adding another starter. Seems like 20-30 range based on where we are headed. What’s interesting is Bidunga, Shelsted, Knox is seen as top 5. Burton, Sherrell, Mustaf is quite a bit lower. I can squint and feel like this is closer than it appears on paper.

That Louisville looks great on paper so far. Wow. They will draw attention this year to see what he can do with the talent.

I was going to post something along these lines yesterday but stopped myself because I didn’t want to dampen the good moods of the board. Getting Sherrell if it happens goes a long way to legitimize the roster but we are outside looking in at the top 25 still. And probably by the end.

His hands looked so so to me on the video. BUT his level of compete stood out. Seemed very fiery, and we all know I love a Dawg. Seems like pretty much a dunker offensively. A good screener. This feels like a smart addition!

Well ain’t that something. I’ve got a lot ofnresearch to do tonight. Can’t teach 7’2”. Really want Sherrell though. Also like the Colorado kid. Those 3 in the front court seems nice. Was getting my hopes up for Reibe/or Tilller. That’s gone now unless Sherrell doesnt come through.

I definitely think so. Was just commenting on USC getting good talent. Miami is doing the same but maybe slightly better.

USC is going to have a very talented roster. Getting them to win is a whole other thing. But talent level will be high at USC.

Will be interesting to see where our guys end up. With Cupps recently to UIC Harris, Miles, Dorn, Ristic, Acinomivic, Drake. Not sure If im missing anyone but this alone will be interesting.

I’m closer to this but you have to try to get some stability, at least a little bit. I think 3 freshman and 3 portal seems like about the realistic. Turnover to expect. Or 6 spots however you slice them up.
