No doubt. We haven’t had the level of PG needed since Yogi. And we wonder why we’ve been missing tournaments left and right. Don’t even get me started on our choices last season. Coaching too. and Sadly it appears McCollum is the Cignetti of basketball coaching. 1 great player, 1 really good player and they are on the verge of the final 4. Really rivals our football story.

I don’t know. I think NC State is pissed and planned to give a lot of NIL to Wade so that’ll transfer over plus some. It’s not UNC/Kansas but it think it can be in that second tier. if UNC pulls Lloyd from Arizona which feels oddly possible that be a sad day. Someone inform me this isn’t gonna happen, please.

It’s a huge no thanks from me. He was one of the reasons I thought UK might struggle this year. I don’t believe he’s a team first guy, I also don’t think he shots it well enough. I’d prefer someone else spend big for him.

They are different players but neither offer What you want as a starter on a high major with aspirations of being at the top. Sisley lacks the shooting. Orme lacks the defense/physical tools at the top level. Sisley would be a nice 3 if he shot better. Orme could be a nice 4 if he had more athletic gifts. Orme feels like a Humrichous type player at his ceiling. Could work if you have the tools elsewhere to make up for his deficits assuming he translates similar. Illinois or Michigan are obvious rosters to emulate. Illinois is tenacious on defense as a group and Humrichous is a small piece that plays a role. That’s the way I see Orme. Lots of better 4s out there. So if we are at disadvantage at the 4 we need to be at advantage in enough other spots to make it work.

Seems like the type of player our staff will love. But we will probably target Orme as a similar type player with less fanfare.

Yep…. Need to do something to change the narrative. Branding is taking massive hits by not acting like the big boys. This has been my message. Momentum, branding, track record, off season wins matter. A few weeks to see how much this staff has learned and cares.

April Fools?

Just for the record. I actually like him. I like a lot o bout what he represents. Just want him to be better. His portal efforts and choices disappointed me last year. Felt like a wasted year from jump. That has added concern. But in general, I like him, and really want him to do well. Waiting for results on and off the court to indicate improvements.

Another school at odds with family on Twitter RN. Jasper Johnson’s uncle or whatever going full Woodson on the fanbase. Id like to take Malachi Moreno off their hands for them.

The fact he tried for so many elite 26s and didn’t land a single one. The fact his scout led to recruiting and building a team that was never going to be good. He built an entire team. Recruited 1 good player.

I guess we’ll see. On and off the court actions haven’t impressed.

That’ll be the only move that doesn’t enrage me. I’m prepared to be enraged. Kansas likely opens up this offseason too
