    When you have a new hire and a completely new roster and couldn’t generate any buzz you know you’ve got a problem on your hands. Sucks to throw away another season. Terrible decisions by all involved.

    Yeah, no magic hire out there after Brad Stevens got too rich and comfy. Dusty May would have been the hire. I’d like to find a coach with some swagger and a history of winning.

    I’m tired of the excuses. Create a vision, sell a vision, and have resources to back it up. That’s all it takes. Bad hire. Not sure what the vision was. Not sure he knows either.

    Winners don’t constantly make excuses. We have resources. We have a stage. We have a lot of things to offer. Gotta sell a vision. And be convincing. DeVries didn’t do his job.

    I’m gonna say it. And I hated Woodson ball, but it was still the Better product than what DeVries is giving us in year one.

    Agreed. The simplest of actions. And not even much of that. Nothing I see looks encouraging whatsoever. Michigan is being so careless with the ball because they can be. Still killing us.

    Sisley hit shots early, but watching him now, he’s not a consistent shooter unless he’s dunking it. Free Throws are shaky, 3s are shaky, and midrange is shaky. He could be a great player if he can become a reliable shooter.

    Can’t believe the majority of this board defended this roster as it was being constructed. I love you guys, but you gotta be honest with yourselves. Also DeVries runs no sets.

    Yep. Was the most obvious hire of all time and we blew it. I will say the Michigan basketball NIL efforts this year are much much better than ours.

    This was the B1G roster DeVries built y’all. I don’t care how good of a coach you are when you put yourself at such an athletic/skill deficit. He didn’t inherit this roster. He chose this roster. 5 alarm fire..

    We can’t make every coaching staff the highest paid in the country. CIG and Haynes are making bank. Gotta be a limit somewhere. We were paying him incredibly.

    My defense mechanism kicks in when I’m confirmed we aren’t good and then I can laugh about how bad we are. When we are in the middle, those are the toughest seasons for me because I’m anxious and hopeful. I threw the towel in on these guys already mentally so anything that happens going forward has no impact. Sports fan psychology 101.

    One of the many things Cignetti does well is identify the missed calls. He’s a lifer and he knows ball incredibly well. I always seems to see the missed calls and he lets the refs know he saw it. I think we benefit from this greatly with how our games are normally officiated.

    So many guys that will be missed. Talent wise we should be okay. But man, Kamara, Ponds, Fisher, Black, Sarratt, likely Cooper, Coogan, Heismandoza, Nowakowski and on and on.

    Capping it off at the opposing teams Homefield makes it all the more storybook. Our fans were tremendous, but still their Homefield.

    I’m going to try to not fret about basketball sucking after this miracle football season. I won’t be successful but I’m going to try. Lol
