Just like close loses to ranked MSU in East Lansing shouldn’t be the catalyst for firing discussions. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

“16. INDIANA: MICHAEL PENIX JR. The Hoosiers are a different team with Penix in the lineup. He’s currently one of 16 quarterbacks with elite grades for the season albeit we’ve seen him in just three games this year. However, in those three games, he hasn’t graded below 74.5 and has the country’s fourth-highest adjusted completion percentage at 84.5%. He’s an accurate thrower with a very strong arm and a strong feel in the pocket for his age. He’s also fared very well when pressured, something he’ll certainly see more of through Big Ten play, as he’s completed 12-of-24 passes for 240 yards and hasn’t thrown an interception. He can lean on his strong play from a clean pocket but if the play breaks down, he’s shown he can escape and make plays with his arm on the move just as easy.” WOW. Brass Cannon - your thoughts? Yeah, at this point, I really like the class. Adding a big man or a PG would be the remaining need I’d like to see addressed, and I’m more concerned about a big man. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Hard to see it being better than top 20 as is. We add a Dawson Garcia and I think it’s a lock for top 10. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

I agree that applying historical win rates doesn’t move the needle as much. Not sure of the sample size, but that needs to be understood as well - good or bad (.300 isn’t good regardless). I would say that as an East member we have three games where we have maybe a 10% chance and simply playing opponents where’s it closer to a coin flip instead will result in that elusive 6th win far more often. That was quick. Thank you! Historically, we were more than 2x more likely to win against the West than the East. I’ll take those odds, Cotton. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Thank you - what is our record against the west? We get maybe two games a year against B1G West teams. I’m not going to go do the research since a quick Google search didn’t provide answers, but I’d like to see our record against B1G West before we say we can’t beat those teams.
