  1. Wait. Wilson-Allen confirms best back to back coaches in IUFB history. There was a Sam Wyche between Corso and Mallory for a season. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  2. Are Kevin Wilson and Tom Allen the most successful back to back coaches in IUFB history? Maybe Lee Corso and Bill Mallory have a claim there, but it’s not as clear as you’d think. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  3. That’s such an unreal stat. Such a historical horrid program. Things seem to be on the up... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. Combined win there. Game ball to Stevie Scott. I can’t believe Penix is hurt again. Agree with your earlier comment - Penix is better but Ramsey is a solid backup. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. There are only a couple programs able to go that route: UK and Duke. I don’t see Michigan being there ever. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  6. Meh. Let’s see how he is as a coach. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  7. Because there’s so much more Indiana has to offer. Nebraska football is definitely much more of a religion there, similar to IU basketball. Hence why we still constantly show out despite team performance. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. Sorry for those players, but I will not complain if we get wins in part because of injuries. Like I said, I don’t care how we get 6 just that we get there. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  9. Don't care how we do it as long as we get 6. Anything beyond that is gravy.
  10. Care to share the numbers of the clear financial commitment? And, how is that paying off? "It’s Year 4. After a 40-17 loss Saturday at Minnesota, the Illini are 11-30 overall and 4-25 in Big Ten games on Smith’s watch." https://chicago.suntimes.com/2019/10/6/20901448/lovie-smith-illinois-college-football-experiment-isnt-working
  11. I'm not impressed by our defense, but nothing about a team whose only goal is to get to a bowl game will likely be all that impressive. I think our defense is good enough, and statistically much better than last year. Our home versus road defense is also significantly different which worries me for the next 6 games.
  12. Indiana does not have a defense that's going to standup to OSU (categorizing OSU as a team that is .500 or better is misleading) who is one of the best teams in the country. They flopped against MSU. Certainly not making excuses there. Based on your categorization, we have two meaningful samples to analyze, and in one of those games our offense was crippled without Penix. I'd like to see this defense against more B1G teams. An objective statistical measure says our defense is pretty decent - not non-existent as it has been in the past. I really don't expect our defense to do much against the OSU's and other National Title contenders of the world. I'm not even saying we have a good defense. I want to see them hold their own in the next 6 games, but it's not accurate to say we don't have a defense. They just certainly are not anywhere near a top tier or capable of competing with the best teams.
  13. The defensive rankings of the SP+ control for opponents and have us ranked around 30th I believe. So once you break it down by the teams we’ve played using an objective methodology... We have a defense. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  14. Reasonable and fair and I agree. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. Yes, you seemed to have missed his MSU performance. He’s definitely the better QB. Regarding wins, I said a while back I would only expect that Penix could account for an additional win or two above Ramsey given our schedule, but an extra win or two is all that we need. 16. Like it or not IUFB is in its best shape in decades and IUBB is healthy and trending positively despite decades of fumbles. It’s been a long time, but right now when things seem to be on the rise is not the time to lose patience and throw it all out. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  17. Just when I think this place would be better without gradman he brings out some A+ material Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  18. Hold up. This is all about a bowling alley and slides on a playground? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  19. Pretty **** analogy as the entire point of that story is that the tortoise wins the race but yeah Fire Fred Glass! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. What do you mean at a place like Louisville? They’ve been in a bowl every year since 2010 other than last year. They won 8 or 9 games every year since joining the ACC except last year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  21. 1) not hyping them up as an OSU type team 2) I get it it was a frustrating loss 3) still no reason to.m instigate the decision to fire the coach Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  22. And you still haven’t admitted that Penix is the far better option. It’s time BC Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  23. Google also said to fire Fred Glass Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  24. Oh okay nevermind then Fire Allen! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  25. Only two home games in the remaining 6. It will be interesting. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
