When does Boogie and DQ finish visits?

I agree. Theoretically, they could line up quickly and then try to spike the ball to stop the clock. Since he was sacked and everyone was spread out that would probably take 8-12 seconds to get set and maybe a second to snap and spike so then they would have about 4-9 seconds left with the TO. If the higher amount they could probably try the pass in the middle but not if they were near the 4 to 5 second mark.

This is how i saw it as well. The announcers kept saying they would have to use a TO to avoid the 10 second runoff but it looked like that never happened.

Physical second half. Wasn’t always beautiful soccer but it was what was needed to get the road win. Gerstenberg was great.

Probably our recent history of not getting a big class and missing on the long recruits for 5* kids but I worry that we are in a “all eggs in one basket” position. Give Woody and the staff credit for getting the 5* kids to officially visit but if we miss, we miss big. There is that saying, Lose big, lose close, win, then win big. Hopefully we aren’t in the lose close stage but have moved to win or win big.

My daughter plays at the NAIA level, which is between D2 and D3, but they are too young a team to consider something like this.

I think this is an important year to see what this staff can do. Can they get to another level or become more consistent? I am hopeful but skeptical

For a school like IU, Tom Allen is a very good DC. He just unfortunately has the wrong job.

And this is his first offseason where he has not spent recovering from an injury or surgery. Hopefully this is huge for him to add more to his game.

What reason do you have to suggest that Leal has been busting his butt? I have nothing against the guy at all but to say a guy is busting his butt, to me, suggests he has been doing more than the average IU player. Has he been getting more time in the gym than others? Has he been getting more shots up than others? I hear the coaches talk about Gabe doing this, MM some too, but have not heard anything about Leal doing anything extra. One of the coaches on HH suggested that XJ, Gallo and Leal could be leaders this year. They went on to give some reasons why each could/should be a leader but when they got to Leal it was basically "he is a senior". I would love to see him find a role and get some regular minutes. Those would likely come as a shooter or potentially as a ball handler here and there. Both of those skills could have been developed more with a lot of gym time doing the extra work.

Did they IU - Auburn game tickets go on sale this morning? I got an email from the site saying tickets would go on sale at 10am today but it seems it may be the other game. Firewall blocked me from checking here at work so navigating on the phone it appeared to be the other game.

Have been going through this on both sides. Aging parents can be like middle school kids, hear you but ignore you at the same time. If someone that looks like a doctor says X, they generally do X and do not think to challenge it. Always be checking meds. One Dr put my mom on some medicine 2 years ago and she slipped into a deep sleep for 2 months. She went into skilled nursing and trying to get that Dr to agree to let her come off that medication was a battle. Once off she woke up in 2 days. Most places just keep adding meds and they get this list of meds that are sometimes meant to be temporary but they never stop. Then as you say, they easily run out of ones that are supposed to be on-going and they do not refill. Dementia is so tough. FIL going through a tough time with that and has had some aggression as well recently. Hard to find a place for him but being in the hospital for some that age just makes it worse. For those not there yet, plead with your parents to develop a plan. Where would you go if... Get a few places visited ahead of time so that part is figured out. Get the power of attorney done now. You may never use but if you do it is done. Figure out a financial plan now. You may have several varieties depending on what happens but get familiar with what resources they have and what is available out there. Elder lawyers are expensive but trying to figure it out is hard too. The more you can figure out today the less stress you will have it something changes and they need to initiate one of the plans. We got 2 more years with mom only because we really started to question her meds. We got lucky and were able to get her off the one that nearly took her life. Be active and if you have siblings try to make sure you are on the same page. In the end, you will probably have to settle with being on most of the same pages because seeing our parents go through this will lead to differing opinions. Getting the easy stuff done and agreed to will allow more time to discuss the hard stuff.

You are correct, that is very well written. Many of the young writers seem to try to hard for clever words but it just comes off sounding terrible. This writer did a very good job of explaing the why and how and his description of the wrong footed shot show he seems to understand the game and how to convey interesting information and not just spray words out like too many other i come across.

If he would play the 4 role he could see some improvement in his effectiveness but him trying to be a 3 last year did now work

My mother passed recently as well. We thought we were going to lose her 2 years ago but she had an amazing come back which allowed us more time. So thankful for that. She and my dad met in the marching 100 years ago and have been avid IU fans ever since.

That would have been interesting had CC been lower. Hard to really give that title to someone who did not do it in the BT but thankfully it does not apply
