Game got to close in the end but for me and I bet for many others. I knew when this game was going to be on. Knew who we were playing and even though I knew it would be tough I was looking forward to watching. Interesting. We saw this during the HS soccer season this fall and wondered about why we just noticed it. We have been in the top 15 most of the year so I assumed we were just better this year. It likely is the same idea but for soccer too. I felt bad for our first opponent this year who was down 5-0 at half. At the beginning of the second half their PA discussed how if we got up by 9 the game would end. My youngest was on a recruiting visit at a school they are likely not to play at but the coach gave great advice. Pick a school you would love to be at even if you were not an athlete. If you get a chance to also play your sport even better. When evaluating teams/staffs look to see how many kids stay 4 years. If you aren’t going to play professionally then find a healthy environment where they will make you a better adult and don’t worry if that is D1, D2 or even NAIA. We were down in Tigerville SC checking out a school and definitely thought that town was small. Just 30 minutes away from Greenville which is a very nice and rapidly growing area. Hard to say if we are in a good spot really until we get more to commit. Nice to see us make some final lists but we have been here before. A mid market team that does not want to go into the luxury tax has a very narrow path to being a contender. Generally you have to draft a legitimate star (really you 2-3) and then fight off big market teams who will lure them away. In conjunction with this you need to trade well. Everyone felt we won the Vic -PG trade and we were in a great spot with the way Vic played. He was in a position to be our next Reggie, all NBA face of the franchise. Then he got hurt and he got sideways with the leadership. Then we found ourselves back on the narrow path. My biggest complaints with the Pacers is that twice they had their best player get sideways (have to find a way to fix that) and it seemed clear to most that they did not have the firepower to win this year. I agree. His injury this summer is unfortunate as he seemed more focused on finding offense. It would have been great to see the results for the full AAU play. I have seen him play twice and honestly had to try and find him on the court as he just was not notable enough to remember if you weren’t actively watching for him Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

Will pray. Hang in there. My brother was in a similar spot a month ago. Picture of health then pneumonia. Heavy on the O2 and it looked scary.
