  1. It's like a meme.  Kills the IU series, still loses to a Hoosier.
  2. I don't know if he would or not, but I don't see how it couldn't be tempting.  At one time this was his dream job and he'd get to roam the same sidelines as the coach he grew up idolizing, not to mention (assumingly) better pay in an area that's cheaper to live in.
  3. It would make sense, wouldn't it?  Then again so would not switching defenses in the middle of a possession when it only confuses us.
  4. Yeah, I'm not sure how someone could watch that game and try to find any positive spin.  That debacle comes close to making Maui less humiliating.
  5. The good:  We looked competent on defense for about 10 minutes. The bad:  We didn't even try to play defense for the other 30.
  6. He should've watched the game.  Duke wasn't getting free throws because we were giving them 3s and layups instead.
  7. This rubs me the wrong way.  Players should have to earn the spot, not have it promised to them regardless of performance.
  8. No kidding.  Things are bad when he he stops doing everything imaginable to defend Crean.  He once went so far as to call Crean a better coach than Stevens, still not sure what he was under the influence of at the time but I'm not sure if Charlie Sheen would touch something that potent.
  9. Crean made a comment about us not being good enough on ball.  He does realize there is more to team defense than on ball defense and that we're awful in all aspects, right?
  10. Some of those mistakes looked mental, but so many just seemed to be the result of laziness.   It will be a comedy eventually, if you figure time+tragedy=comedy.
  11. Not rumors, he's failed a drug tests.
  12. It's called Just For Men.
  13. Instead the giant swatted Crean away like an annoying little gnat, then rolled over and went back to sleep.
  14. I'm sure they will.  Has he checked on Elston's NBA career lately?
  15. :103:   :rtfm:
  16. If anyone has been to 247, is HTD still doing mental gymnastics to make Crean seem like the right guy?
  17. I'm as vocal against Crean as anyone is and I wouldn't get rid of him mid season unless the crap really hits the fan.
  18. The impact he had on our defense was always going to be limited.  Some of our biggest problems on defense last season were fundamental and coachable yet showed no improvement, Bryant wasn't going to do anything to solve those.  It's true this season as well, for all the talk we are not any better at the basic defensive fundamentals that made us so horrid last season.   Crean said we're not good enough on ball, but he's wrong.  We're not good enough, or even 'good', at any aspect of defense and not just on ball.
  19. Random fan:  "Isn't Crean your brother-in-law?" Harbaugh:  "Nope"
  20. There were posters saying adding Bryant would go a long ways to solving our defensive woes.  Nope, still horrid at the fundamentals.   Only real difference is now they'll border on looking competent at that end for a stretch before deciding they don't want to play defense.
  21. It wouldn't be needed.  The buyout was stupid, but not as stupid as it seems on the surface.  It's not paid out in a lump sum, over 5 (?) years actually, and what he makes at his next job if it's in coaching (or broadcasting I believe) is deducted from what's owed.  Theoretically Indiana could get away with not paying much of it.
  22. You're not, I expected this to get ugly.     Bryant hasn't done much to fix our "defense".  I have to use quotes, there's no way this team tries on that end.
  23. I dislike Crean as much as the next guy, and this is too far.
  24. Buss has really increased her PPG, by around 7, but outside of free throws her shooting hasn't improved much going by stats.  From 3 she's actually worse, and overall FG is only a couple points better.
