  2. Tijan. Discuss.
  3. Much like Yogi last year, Thomas Bryant did not come back merely to improve his draft stock, he came back to accomplish what he came to IU for; to win. We have been clamoring for leaders at IUBB that are not satisfied with their season if it brings any result other than a national championship. Thomas Bryant feels that way...in a big way. His teammates will need to buy in or get out of his way. With leaders like Thomas, they will buy in.
  4. The chances of that lineup occurring will be completely dependent on: JBj's health, and... How good DeRon Davis looks against Collin and Juwan in practice.
  5. Thought this might merit its own thread. The difference between our potential and the potential of the one-and-done factories is predicated on "talent + leadership" > talent. Worked for Villanova last year, and when we succeed it'll be a major factor why. With that having been said, this year's IUBB team leaders will be: 1) Thomas Bryant 2) Collin Hartman --------------------------------------------------- 3) RoJo 4) Josh Newkirk 5) Juwan Morgan At least, that's my take on it
  6. FWIW; IUBB posted more 1st week workout pics today. Among them? JBj doing agility drills in the sand, and JBj clean and jerk with 135 lbs. Encouraging.
  7. All true on measurements, but Hartman is a better basketball player. If measurements and hs rankings were determinative, Perea would be in the NBA; instead he'll be backing up Peter Jurkin at E. Tennessee State.
  8. Three knee surgeries is certainly cause for concern, though there are plenty of people who come back healthy after similar issues (i.e; Mo Creek at George Washington U.) Not fully participating six months after ACL surgery is completely normal. After nine months he should be good to go if all goes well.
  9. True if he's healthy and practicing in full. CTC could try to rationalize JBj coming off the bench if he's not fully recovered at the start of the season.
  10. Cause it's Bleacher Report?
  11. Ummm...Robert Johnson is a two year starter and is, in my opinion, the best guard on the team. He is far and away the most likely starter of the three primary guards on the team.
  12. You can also add Zeisloft and to a certain extent Max Beilfeldt to the list of diamonds in the rough. Remember, Nick Z was a five point a game two-year role player at Illinois State, and after two years at Indiana he's getting a workout with the Dallas Mavericks.
  13. Juwan Morgan: Was injured for the majority of last season. Truly limited. Was an excellent, well-rounded, mature player last season. Will be 100% full-go healthy this season. No one has him in the starting lineup. He's gonna be really, really good.
  14. "Middle School X!"
  15. Brad Stevens is the coach of the Celtics until Brad Stevens decides he doesn't want to be. When that happens, he's the coach of IU! (or Duke).
  16. For the coming season, quality QB play = bowl game...easily.
  17. Geez...if we hadn't closed the deal with this young man! lol
  18. No on Lee...going west, And NO on Newman... not a college student.
