Well shoot, funny you should ask! I just saw this nice little morsel in the comments section of an Inside The Hall article posted this morning. The comment refers to Jordan Tucker, but it was obviously referring to Justin Smith: N71 • 36 minutes ago Saw Jordan Tucker at TIS (3rd street) on Saturday scoping out IU paraphernalia.

B10 Basketball Recruiting Thread
Stuhoo replied to hoosierpap's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Meh. If IU's 2017 class was Nunge and Garza, the fan boards would be in open revolt. Fran will be..."just okay." -
I just watched the 93 Hoosiers win by one against the Fab Five at Michigan on YouTube. UM's last possession for the win was snuffed by a Cheaney partial block of a Juwan Howard jumper, Weber gets the rebound five feet from the basket, and Alan Henderson completely swats away his follow shot. Hoosiers.

Indiana vs Ball State Game Thread (9/10 - 4:00PM - ESPNNews)

It's a football school thing. You're forgiven if you don't understand. -
A lovely "plausible pipe-dream."
-
...continued: and, he comes from a very close-knit family that would prefer a three hour car ride to Btown over a plane ticket for game visits, not to mention easy access to games in Evanston, Champaign, Lafayette, Iowa City, and Madison.

I believe that Smith is a 247 composite ranking of 80. That oughta settle where he is.
-
If that was the group, I would fully expect Freddie to get considerably more run than Smith during Smith's freshman year.
-
Because he is a talented work in progress, not a freshman starter on a B1G contender.

Looks like it's going to be time to start monitoring the "who Marni Mooney is following" vigil.
-
Jeremy Hollowell's game with A+ academics and character would be a fantastic player to have.
-
^^This^^ For OG not to go, he would have to regress from last year. And that's. Not. Happening.

Official 2016-17 IUBB Preseason Thread

Our starting backcourt looks like ZZ freakin Top. -
Justin Smith is exactly the type of young man that we would be proud to see in a Hoosier uniform. No handlers here! Just an excellent family, an excellent student, and an excellent basketball player.

2016-17 Indiana Hoosiers: Favorite Meal
Stuhoo replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I don't know about "good", but here's a cheesy meatloaf for you: -
Per IUHoosiers.com, below is the list for favorite meal of each player on this year's team. Personally, I'm with Quentin Taylor's Thanksgiving dinner, and I'm also a fan of TB going with the same staples as many of the others, but insisting that it be "cooked by Grandma." Feast on this: OG Anunoby — SpaghettiJames Blackmon, Jr. – Steak, Mashed Potatoes and AsparagusThomas Bryant – Fried Chicken, Mac-n-Cheese, Fresh Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Collard Greens and a nice Pound Cake cooked by Grandma.De’Ron Davis – Spaghetti with Garlic BreadGrant Gelon – Ribs and Sweet PotatoesDevonte Green – Steak and Mac-n-cheeseCollin Hartman – Beef StroganoffJohnny Jager – Steak and PotatoesRobert Johnson – Crab Cakes, Shrimp, Mac-n-Cheese, and Mashed PotatoesCurtis Jones – Fried Chicken, Mac-n-Cheese, Mashed Potatoes and LemonadeZach McRoberts – Chicken and Noodles with Mashed PotatoesFreddie McSwain, Jr. – Meat Loaf, Corn, Mashed Potatoes, Mac-n-Cheese, homemade Pie.Juwan Morgan – Ham, Greens, Cabbage and Potato Salad.Josh Newkirk – Spaghetti with Garlic BreadTim Priller – Chicken Fried Chicken, Mac-n-Cheese, Garlic Mashed PotatoesQuentin Taylor – Thanksgiving meal: Turkey, Stuffing, Sweet Potatoes, Rolls and Collard Greens

We will not slow-play a player as good as Smith
-
Nah. Wilkes knows he will start wherever he goes, and that we'll have enough room for J Smith and him. A class of Durham, Smith, Wilkes, Waters, and a big would be a huge home run.
-
By the end of the weekend, we may have a two player class!

Him and Yogi are both gonna be coaches someday. -

That is freakin' awesome. -
Run? Sure. Press? Nope...CTC teams at IU do not press. Especially with JBj at one guard spot.

The last time I saw Marni single out a new freshman for public appreciation, it was for OG. When Marni Mooney likes you, You are good people: Marni Mooney @MarnOnTheMoon Aug 22 I'm so glad we have Freddie! Follow Marni Mooney@MarnOnTheMoon @Mcswain_swain -- so proud of you Freddie. #KeepWorkingHard

MSB looks like he's about to hurl.

I'm worried about in-state recruiting.
Stuhoo replied to FKfootball's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Some people are going to complain no matter how well things are going. IU fans are people. Some IU fans are never going to complain no matter how well things are going.
