(As a fan) ... I strongly disagree. I very much like Hartman as a starter. For smarts, spacing, effort, outside shooting, post passing, and leadership.
-
Because "we as fans want ..." is a very common, and absolutely irrelevant, reason for an in-game/who starts coaching decision. Hartman WILL start, and most any coach seems to see that.

Disagree. Max away from the basket on offense takes Hammons/Haas away from the basket with him. Their bigs destroy drivers and cutters by guarding the other team's worst outside shooter and dropping to protect the rim. Last year Hammons had Troy. With our five all able to hit the three ball, who has he got this year?

From that second photo it looks like you got that rental car after all! Iceland is a wondrous place, eh?

Yogi is way overdue for one of his "outta his mind" games. Saturday would suit us just fine.

"Is this heaven?" "No, this is Iowa...losing to Penn St."
-
Apparently, Penn St fans don't storm the court. They "drizzle-mist the court".

Analysis: I choose not to pile on Troy Williams
Stuhoo replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Troy is 6'7" and a 3/4 in the college game. Have any of you EVER seen him take a player his size (or a smaller player) down to the post? EVER? He had Eron Harris at 6'3" guarding him for a fair amount of time this game. Why not?!? For me, that is a sign of a player that has not worked on a component of his game. -
The problem is, what Brad Stevens MAY want ... is the chance to turn the Boston Celtics into NBA champions. He has more money than any of us can imagine. Besides; it's taxpayer money. We can't throw twenty gazillion dollars at him (and no, Naples, not even 19 gazillion). If Stevens comes back to college basketball, it will be because he wants his legacy to be like K or Knight, and because he has decided he doesn't want to be the next Greg Popovich.

Indiana vs Iowa Post Game Thread

Follow John C. McGinleyVerified account@JohnCMcGinley I just went to the loudest, most exciting, most incredible basketball game, in my LIFE! Honest to God. @IUBloomington beats Iowa? Hell YEAH! -

COMPLETELY disagree. Niego was fantastic, but he is a freshman walkon guard. Getting him outta there before he faltered was perfect. I think TB came back in with two fouls because Max had gone about twelve straight minutes during a fast paced game, and he didn't want Morgan to have to lean on/have his eyes poked by/be strangled by Woodbury.

There are lots of ways to finely slice and dice the possibilities. That's why it's fun to tune in and to find out!

In my opinion, one of the drastic improvements in the handling of this year's team has been in much clearer definition of roles. For instance: Yogi: the clear quarterback, and the go-to guy when we need a shot late in the shot clock or late in the game. Nick Z: Leadership, designated shooter. TB: Post feeds and youthful exuberance Colinn and RoJo: steady, multi-faceted glue guys Max: Older leader and first big off bench. Physical bulk on defense. Juwan and OG: Defend hard, get garbage buckets on offense. Troy: Explosive wing - the role has evolved to where he now gets yanked when he tries to do too much Burton and Niego: Team unity guys that get a little run to show the big dogs that they are playing like crap and need to pick it up. MSB: Human victory cigar. We seem to be getting away from the Jeremy Hollowell/Troy Williams point guard experiment type nonsense, and I am very, very glad. Discuss!
