  1. You can also add Zeisloft and to a certain extent Max Beilfeldt to the list of diamonds in the rough. Remember, Nick Z was a five point a game two-year role player at Illinois State, and after two years at Indiana he's getting a workout with the Dallas Mavericks.
  2. Juwan Morgan: Was injured for the majority of last season. Truly limited. Was an excellent, well-rounded, mature player last season. Will be 100% full-go healthy this season. No one has him in the starting lineup. He's gonna be really, really good.
  3. "Middle School X!"
  4. Brad Stevens is the coach of the Celtics until Brad Stevens decides he doesn't want to be. When that happens, he's the coach of IU! (or Duke).
  5. For the coming season, quality QB play = bowl game...easily.
  6. Geez...if we hadn't closed the deal with this young man! lol
  7. No on Lee...going west, And NO on Newman... not a college student.
  8. I'd sell on Maryland's chances. On the other hand, Ohio State is returning their top six scorers, and there's some serious talent among those six guys. Expect them to be back in the top five (or so) of the league.
  9. Need to have realistic expectations with him. The talent is most assuredly there, but he's got a long, long way to go before he is a "B1G caliber decision-maker" at point guard.
  10. Indiana will be playing North Carolina in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge this season, and one of Indiana's standout players is excited. Indiana sophomore forward Thomas Bryant posted a screenshot of an ESPN alert on his Instagram account Tuesday, merely putting the caption "Thank you...." on the picture.
  11. Good God. I hope that article was not written by Indiana University student or graduate. While I wouldn't think it proper to critique grammar and punctuation on a message board, something like this is published, and should be written at least at a high school level.
  12. Hartman may not start, but if he doesn't it will be because Newkirk is starting in a three guard lineup.
  13. Great post, and I see the dynamic also. I also think I know why it happens. It seems like coach has a real need to want to make something out of nothing. Sometimes it's because of a challenging personality that he wants to transform, and sometimes it's an undervalued athlete that he wants to try to turn into a superstar. Coach gets a real charge out of this facet of his job. I think he learned his lesson with the challenging personalities, because he seems to be truly shying away from them after being burned one too many times.
  14. Which makes sense: With 13 scholarship players, the last two or three guys on the bench are barely getting any run, unless guys like TB and RoJo are only going to average playing 20 mpg...which they're not.
  15. Newkirk allegedly (pre-injury at least) possesses hyper-mega athleticism.
  16. Bryant: 28 mpg Rojo : 28 mpg Collinn: 22 mpg JB: 26 mpg: OG 25 mpg Josh N: 21 mpg DeR D: 18 mpg Freddie: 6 mpg Juwan: 16 mpg Cujo: 6 mpg All others: 4 mpg TOTAL: 200.That oughta do it!
  17. I fully understand the logic that it will make the team better, but I don't buy that a senior Troy wouldn't have been a net plus.
  18. Why do I get the feeling the Troy Williams story will read like the script from a Cheech and Chong movie?
  19. Decision coming really soon, y'all!
  20. Dislike that post...a lot, (e)X-Hoosier. On the other hand, I'm glad you're an (e)X-Hoosier, instead of a Hoosier. Also, I appreciate Yogi Ferrell.
  21. 11 Daniel Moore Position Guard Ht./Wt. 5-10 / 175 Year Sr. IF YOU'D ONLY BEEN 15 POUNDS HEAVIER!!
