  1. Geez Nips, he's only about 75 miles away from your house. Invite him over!
  2. Spot on, nips. And you know how I feel about the odds of Yogi leaving.
  3. Yogi Ferrell is playing at a level right now that is not getting enough recognition. Our team is not great, but I'm waiting and waiting to see a better point guard than ours in ALL of college basketball. I haven't seen one yet so far this year.
  4. I'm not so sure we won't need another guard someday soon. We are losing at least two players for next year to make room for two 6'7"+ recruits. If Stan was one of the current players who freed up a spot and Yogi graduated, that would make us extremely low on guards.
  5.     That's just silly talk.
  6. I kid you not; Adam Freakin' Sandler with a big time shoutout to Zander Diamont...Really!   See for yourself:   https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10153055221903267&id=238851988266&refsrc=http%3A%2F%2Ft.co%2F5eqlzDLiPg&_rdr
  7.   +1....and off the court THEY ARE COMPLETELY, 180 DEGREES DIFFERENT!
  8. If college basketball programs were countries, there is no doubt in my mind that Kentucky would be...   Kazakhstan.     NEED PROOF?  I have uncovered secret mating and training video footage during which it is IMPOSSIBLE to discern whether the participants are in Kazakhstan or Kentucky.     SEE FOR YOURSELF!!     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wHYHMpHmSg
  9.     Limited minutes?     Heck, Trey Lyles got 13 full minutes tonight!Top ten hs players need playing time, and Trey got his 780 seconds of it!
  10. Welcome aboard to an outstanding student athlete and a fantastic basketball prospect, Juwan Morgan.   A proud new Hoosier has officially signed!!
  11. Dang. For Kensucky to lose this year, they have to run into a team that spreads the court and has at least five or six guys that can stroke the three ball. Wonder if there's a team like that out there? ;)
  12.   1)  I think that each and every one of the players you named are true Hoosiers, and are loyal, above all, to Indiana University.   2)  I think that they all think that CTC is a good man who did the best he could.   3)  I think that every one from that list would recommend IU to their best friend, sibling, etc.   AND...   I think that only one from that list (VO) would recommend CTC as a coach if/when CTC is not at IU.
  13. If you want to know how the graduated players felt about CTC, I take HUGE stock in their senior night speeches. For me, it was incredibly striking when they happened.   Will Sheehey (to paraphrase) stated plainly that he had the BEST FAMILY, played for the best FANS, TEAMMATES, and FOR THE BEST COACH.   Jordy Hulls Matt Roth Jeff Howard Verdell Jones Derek Elston CWat Danny Moore and others   Specifically thanked: THE BEST FAMILIES, THE BEST FANS, AND THE BEST TEAMMATES.
  14.   Well said, but I disagree...to a point.    I believe that last years' chemistry problems were real, but that they were mainly due to personalities clashing, and to a slightly lesser extent maturity that was much needed by Yogi, Stan, and Hanner. Not as much due to the arrests and too much partying.    In fact, if Hanner Perea turns into an excellent player and a proud Hoosier alum, that DWI arrest could be the single most positive turning point moment of his life.
  15.     Re-post.   Just Because.
  16. I firmly believe that he will wear the Candy Stripes. I think he very much wants to.
  17.   ND Kendrick?
  18. He would use the Nike cash Oregon gave him to cover his IU walk-on year! !!!!!!???????!!!!(Oh no, I didn't really say that - eeetz a joke!!!!!!)!!!?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19.     While the "damned if he does, damned if he doesn't" theme is spot on, I assume it is different posters who have these opposing sentiments.
  20.   From ESPN this morning:     Syracuse University's men's basketball and football programs are under NCAA investigation for allegations, including providing extra benefits and academic issues, that date back at least 10 years, a source said Thursday. Syracuse will go before the NCAA's Committee on Infractions in Indianapolis on Oct. 30-31, sources said. The majority of the allegations -- and the most serious -- involve the men's basketball program. Among the allegations facing the men's basketball team are receiving extra benefits and academic issues, a source said. Those allegations go back about 10 years and are as current as the 2013 season, a source said. "There were things going on consistently (with the men's basketball program) for a long time," a source said. Jim Boeheim has been Syracuse's head basketball coach since 1976. Syracuse.com reported part of the basketball investigation focuses on the academic record of Fab Melo, who was suspended in 2012. Also, former teammate James Southerland was suspended briefly for academics in the 2013 season but eventually returned to the team. Syracuse.com also reported Southerland's suspension was the result of an NCAA investigation into the basketball program's academic records.
  21. For those of you that have known me as a poster for more than a little while, you will know that this link is as IU basketball happy as I get:     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yh3PBlFLvQ4
  22.   I saw most of the game.    I thought it was "a throwing thing".
  23. Btown Banners...we try harder.
  24.     Very interesting...here's some amateur detective work as to why I think so:   Dain Ervin is the new CB prediction for Thomas Bryant to IU. Dain Ervin's son is Daquon Ervin, 2015 pg playing for Northfield Mt Herman prep in Massachusetts. In the past past six months, Daquon has re-tweeted both CTC and Alex Popp (who seems to be a very close friend of our staff).   It seems that the Ervin's may have some lines of communication into our program. Not as important as if they had lines into the Bryant family, but relevant nonetheless.    Daquon Ervin #1⃣0⃣ ™ retweeted Tom Crean @TomCrean · Jul 15 Average teammates are INTERESTED in their teammates. Great teammates are INVESTED in their teammates.    Daquon Ervin #1⃣0⃣ ™ retweeted Alex Popp @CoachAPopp · Jul 7 The more obstacles you overcome, the stronger you become. Life doesn't get easier or more forgiving; you get stronger and more resilient.
