  1. Seems to me that there are two positions that are most unknown going into next season. So, who is the third LB next season? Kaiden Turner? Jeff Otzinger? Zachman as an extra safety, and a larger than usual one? And, who is the primary TE? Schott with no spring ball? Elmore as a true freshman? True sophs Thiry or Barker? I’m guessing Turner and Zachman split like Boykin and Isaiah did, and Barker at TE.
  2. I am glad we didn’t hire McCollum, but it’s not really a knock on McCollum. McCollum is good and doing well, but I prefer Darian Devries.
  3. Play by play guy, “We might get some ejections here.” Ya think?
  4. A&M Buckyball learning that it’s much tougher when they don’t play crap-@$$ teams.
  5. 46-18 second half for UM against the Mighty Cronins. Mick may be saving that Smirnoff bottle for personal use.
  6. My boy best enjoy it while he can. Uncannily similar to my hair at age 19.
  7. And UK will be the house on fire?
  8. My boy in the first row of the student section; about to witness his Gators dismantling of Kensucky.
  9. Oh goodness. And with Gus and Raftery on the call. What a great trip down memory lane.
  10. Hey—I know our safeties with Lou, Boykin, and Ferrell were a strength last year, but we are in for a real upgrade with Ferrell a year older, Baldwin turning into an All-American, and Sanks and Zachman fighting for the third spot. Good lord Haines has got extraordinary talent and depth throughout this defense. Who the hell is gonna score 20 points on this team?!!?
  11. To me it's not incompetence nor corruption. It's that the NCAA is a toothless industry organization, without the ability to hold its member institutions accountable. That has occurred through a combination of Member institution indifference to accountability measures, and Court rulings whereby NCAA lawyers are well aware they will not prevail if they push certain issues.
  12. A bright future. No Zania and six of the eight players that saw the court were true freshmen or sophs. Not necessarily a national contender future - time will tell if Zania can get healthy, how well the current players develop and whether there's a true alpha in next year's class, but Caffey, Beaumont, and Makalusky (and a healthy Zania) are very good long-term pieces.
  13. Seeing Coach Haines in a suit with no ballcap is ... weird. Would have been even better if he had one of his two closest companions; Gracie Bear or Aiden Fisher, at his side as he accepted the award. When he said they "love each other" in his brief speech I got a temporary *ShudderTwitch.* Otherwise? Perfect and awesome.
  14. Oof. It's bad enough to think in these terms and have this as a regular issue on your team, but it's worse to say it out loud in a public forum:
