  1. I've been fairly high on McCollum for a while and will be very supportive if it's him. But I do have to admit that I worry about his pace of play. I know that many fans would struggle with this alternative... but I see a lot to like about Alan Huss (appreciate Chris...I think it was Chris, for raising his name here). Love his aggressive style of play and his demeanor on the sidelines and in press conferences. He strikes me as a guy who can easily connect to top talent. I'm sure his time at La Lumiere was beneficial. He's probably not in the right place and time for this search, but I have a feeling he's going to become a household name among hoops fans.
  2. Crimson Cast has a nice profile starting at the 28 minute mark.
  3. This thread could just as easily/appropriately have been named Mark Tangent.
  4. He did have an above average level of success during his first year in the league...nine years ago! I'm not saying he should be ruled out, but I do wonder what eight straight seasons of coaching increasingly bad teams has done to his psyche.
  5. My issue is that our guys have looked great over the past several years, but we've not seen positive results. When Nebraska can push you around with a bunch of skinny guys (including a couple with beer guts), maybe it's time to refocus more of the summer training hours on fundamentals.
  6. I can see it in my mind. En route to Evanston the team bus drives over the Chicago Skyway and at the very peak Woody's eyes light up and he exclaims "man, this is a very big hump, but we just got over it"! Definitely going undefeated in our remaining games.
  7. This! Just make it clear it's an interim tag not leading to a full-time hire. I suspect that anyone on the staff could get some decent wins with our talent level...and allow us to end the season on at least a neutral note.
  8. Like OKHOOSIER I understand the frustration. But from the outside looking in, booing players is very ugly. If you are a perspective recruit or recruit's parent seeing it (by watching the game, on social media, etc.), why on earth would you want to risk being on the receiving end it when there are so many other options to choose from? This mess is a result of poor/absent leadership and coaching. Most of these players have demonstrated in the past that they can/would perform much better under good or even just average coaching. Just my two cents...nothing personal.
  9. UM is apparently more similar to Louisville than IU...no humps!
  10. You may be on to something. 37-11 in his college coaching career to date. Digging into the losses, these are the margins of defeat: 1, 2, 5 (OT), 8, 5, 5 (OT), 2, 1 (OT), 10 (2023 CBI championship game), 10, 4
  11. Lack of motion, betrays each fan’s notion, of winning potion One asks why, it's so hard to try, no dancing, goodbye!
  12. Sure, he may be 1-0 at the Kohl Center, but Dusty isn't up to speed on the highly advanced nail-slot-rim and stand-still/buddy-ball schemes that will eventually lead us to greatness (if only the other teams would cooperate!).
  13. CBS Sports story on Cignetti In case this hasn't been posted. Nothing new, just some nice recognition.
  14. Definitely. She's #5 on multiple 2025 WNBA draft projections.
  15. Concur with the sentiments but I think you (unintentionally) overstated how IU operates these days, so I fixed it for you. :)
  16. I suspect a lot of us will feel a whole lot differently about her if/when she's playing for the Fever this summer. I, for one, am a fan. Feistiness is a great asset (as evidenced by the Hoosiers last night)!
  17. Doubtful. But if any major program goes after him the buy-out won't be an issue. It's $1.5M dropping to $1M next month. FAU contract
  18. I hate that we are in this position, but I agree. My wife summed it up well last night when she asked me if I was sure that they really practice between games.
  19. But you mean just one of those guys, and then only if McNeeley leaves after a year, right? I'm pretty sure there is a standard clause in IU bball coach contracts banning them from having multiple outside threats on the roster in any given season.
  20. I don't follow many college football teams, so I'm just asking. Roughly what percentage start any given season with multiple 'proven' QBs on their roster?
  21. That's good to hear. Especially as it relates to opponents attempting (aka completing) big plays against our D, I would describe our past culture as one of "surprise!" :)
  22. Is it too greedy to add "2. An above average natural shooter to compliment, or at least back up Liam, so that we can (gulp) have what every other power conference team has, being multiple outside weapons"?
  23. I'll link one. Criticize all you like, but I'm out. Life is too short to get into arguments on message boards. Go Hoosiers! March Madness 2023: Ranking every NCAA Tournament first-round game from No. 1 to 32 - CBSSports.com
  24. I should have clarified that I was referencing the national press stories. Any yes, I used the term "unstoppable beast" to point out the drama that I am seeing in those stories, which is indeed hyperbolic. As Chris just noted, some of them fail to even mention the fact that Kent State also has an opponent, and thus needs to show up too if they hope to win. I believe we are in agreement otherwise.
