jmsgws Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 There will be some additional seating. All of the articles I found say that Seating will not be "substantially" increased. I would take substantial to be more than 5%, but that is just my take. I don't care if they add some seats. It will just mean more revenue when OSU, Penn State, and Michigan come to town. We don't sell out any other games, so it really doesn't matter. Quite frankly I was more impressed with the thought they are proposing 50% to facility improvements and 50% to athletic scholarships. The increased scholarships won't do anything for Football or Basketball, but I think that could have a major impact on some of the other sports. RBB89 1 Quote

The capacity will increase by perhaps a couple hundred (Edit: H-T article says 200-300). But that's due to the standing room terrace on the third level and the club area (which will also be the new dining hall...there will obviously be a large indoor area and then a patio) on the second level. I imagine that there will be some places to sit there, but you can see from the renderings that there aren't any actual bleachers. Quote

Chips&Dipo Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Glass wants to have some sort of kids area in the stadium, but yes, the current mini field will be gone. I am glad they are replacing it. My nephews love to play there when they go to the games with my parents. RBB89 1 Quote
