Strongly disagree.

Yogi has been our best player, as we expected.
JBJ has been excellent, albeit inconsistent and no marvel on defense, as we expected.

However, when Devin went down, we had next to nothing left 6'7" or more on the roster after Troy and Hanner.
20 great minutes a game from Collinn and ten good minutes a game from Emmitt saved this year from being a very sad one so far.

Like you said, Yogi has been our best player. Without him we don't win the SMU game or the Butler game. I understand what you mean about Colin and Emmit's role which has been very important, but stat wise they haven't provided much. So maybe a moral life saver for the team but not when we are talking about winning games.
And I have to argue that JBJ has been inconsistent. He had one game where he scored 5 points but other than that he has had double figure games. Also, his defense has improved each game. He is never going to be Oladipo but he hasn't been given the credit on D he deserves, but then again he wasn't brought in for his D he was brought in for his scoring. He scores with ease. His shot hasn't been falling form 3 the last few games but he has found tons of other ways to do so. Also he is a good of a rebounder for a guard.

Agree to disagree I guess

Hartman plays hard, makes ma y good hustle plays, but his dwfense is lacking as well. He has little quickness and his side to side mobility must be a challenge. Holt, just does not get enough minutes to impact the season.

At the end of the day, this team probably wouldn't be where it is right now if we lacked one of the four guys mentioned.  Thankfully all players have meshed pretty well together thus far.

JBJ's defense is definitely improving, as is Max's.

Thanks goodness!

the problem for jbj going forward will be people taking him into the post. In the last game it happened twice and he gave almost no resistance. He will need to improve his on the ball defense so that he can guard the smallest quickest players in order that they can't take him in the post. Imagine him against Wisconsin? there is no one for him to guard...we will have to play zone the whole game.
