Meet Sam Tageson. He's 17 years old and suffers from hypoplastic left heart syndrome—born with two heart chambers, not four, according to the Contra Costa Times.

 

He practiced with the team, skated onto the ice and even stood on the blue line for the national anthem. The whole thing was made possible by the Sharks and the Make-A-Wish foundation.
