Why the SEC Isn't as Good as you Think

Recommended Posts

This article tackles the SEC as being an all out dominate force of a conference.  The SEC bias is ridiculous right now in College Football.  This does a GREAT job at showing that bias and showing why ESPN wants that bias to continue.  Pretty ridiculous stuff.

Good article.  Unfortunately it won't change the perception of reality.  Media drives perception and ESPN is in the drivers seat.  Sit back and enjoy the SEC ride.

However, a major step forward was taken when College Football decided to drop the BCS like a lead balloon and head towards a more traditional bracket-style tournament (many many many years too late IMO).

Thanks for sharing BTW.

Not really though...  Now instead of only have 1 or 2 teams in it, they can ensure 2-4 teams get in it.  It's only going to make it worse and see what ESPN does to college football.  It's actually really sad and pathetic.  Seeing Oregon Drop in the polls is evidence in and of itself.  They are a 1 loss team too, why no discussion on them over Missouri, Auburn, Alabama?  Media Bias.

Oregon lost twice, but I do think it's interesting that Oklahoma State, a one loss team, is not even mentioned with Mizzou or Auburn.

I guess when three SEC teams are in the top five, it's hard not to have a perception that they're better than everyone.

Mizzou is probably the most unlucky team out their as their kicker missed a like 30 yard field goal, maybe off the upright, in 2 OTs to South Carolina.

The new system isn't better than the current one it's actually worse not to mention the fact that they have someone like condaleeza rice helping pick the teams to be in it. The new system is a complete joke. So what happens if hypothetically 1 team is undefeated and you have four 1 loss teams? It's the same scenario as it is now one team will still get screwed that's deserving. All they did was take the same system, paint it a different color, and give it a new name. There is no solution to what everyone perceives as the problem. Someone will always get screwed over. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I like to look at college football similar to NFL OR NBA. It doesn't matter if one conference is far superior to the other, you need to win your conference to make the Super Bowl or finals. If BCS took over than it'd be the top teams on the power rankings that would make the Super Bowl. The whole thing is messed up
