Video of the Washington, IL Tornado... Devastating

Recommended Posts

This is absolutely unbelievable...  I feel so bad for this family.  Can't imagine going into your hiding spot during a tornado and coming out to this...  Wow

Terrible stuff. Wouldn't ever want to go through that.

Maybe next time the guy could put the camera down for a few minutes to spend some time with his wife(and daughter) who is going through a nervous breakdown.

I think he's honestly wearing a go pro of something. Either that or he's really bad at using the camera. I think it's attached to him which makes way more sense.

Illinois was hit pretty hard.  I am from Mt. Carmel, across from Princeton, IN, and there were some homes that were destroyed.  One lady wad trapped in her mobile home as it rolled.  She ended up being fine, but it's crazy stuff.  I love tornado's, but hate it when they destroy lives.  My childhood home was torn down because a tornado threw two trees on it.  It's crazy stuff.

I was home on Thursday for Thanksgiving.  We drove through a community that had some houses completely flattened.  It was insane!  Houses leveled and left in a pile of trash and torn down house.

When I was out in NJ this summer we drove through the area where the eye of Sandy hit and there are still houses standing sideways, piled on each other, etc.  It was crazy to see that type of destruction nearly 9 months after the fact.
