How They Got Here: For Indiana, it was a miracle. The Hoosiers won the Big Ten Championship to earn the automatic qualifier to the tournament after what best could be described as a disappointing regular season. Akron continued to be the bully of the MAC and captured another conference crown.

 

Players to know: Akron center back/all-everything Bryan Gallego said on Twitter this week that he would be back in the lineup for Thursday’s game after missing out on the MAC Championship due to injury.

 

Freshman Tommy Thompson has been the best player this season for Indiana, and he has recently returned from injury as well. Thompson has five goals and two assists in 12 starts.
