I think some time back @Demo said we should go ahead and offer Allen.

6'5" combo guard played his freshman season at Grayson HS in Loganville, GA and transferred to Montverde Academy last July.  

14-games of Montverde stats don't provide a lot of information because he strictly comes off the bench so doesn't log a lot of minutes.  But when he does play he's shooting 57% FG (25-44);  46% on 3s (6-13);  50% FT (2-4).     Comments following the 2023 Peach Jam:  Allen is a highly skilled three-level scorer who led the 15U division in scoring at 24.3 points per game. What stood out the most was his feel for the game and ability to score in multiple ways. It may be a stepback 3 on the wing, it could be a few moves to set up a mid-range jumper, or what I love most, he can score playing off-ball. Allen picked up an offer from Virginia Tech over the weekend, but I expect most schools around the country to start recruiting him. As we fast-forward, he has the potential to be one of the best scorers the class has to offer.

That one was inevitable. Really talented kid and way too many contacts not to. Got to say though, the kid has played with at least a half dozen kids with IU offers and yet still busted out a University of Indiana. Sigh

Likely won't see a lot of playing time but possibly a chance to watch our latest offer in action.

Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament (MAIT) runs Thursday thru Saturday of this week.  All games will be streamed on the NBA app.

Top-15 2026 prospect Kayden Allen went off this morning in a win over Team Curry, finishing with 25 pts. in 20 min. played.  Hit the game winner and received an offer from Louisville, following the game.
