First of all, I'll apologize to all the females that are members of btb.

I watched McGaughy's season opening game and both teams stunk.  They both played like a bunch of girls.  Incredibly poor ball handling at least 6 times a player dribbled the ball of her own foot.  Flatfooted attempts to rebound.  Bad passes.  Missed layup after missed layup.

McGaughy was overall the best player on the court at 6'3" but to me wasn't that impressive.  She shot 8-12 FG and 3-6 FT.  All but 1 of her FGs was right under the basket and she did demonstrate she could finish with either hand.  Many of her rebounds came as she was behind the opponent who wouldn't or couldn't jump and she just reached over them for the rebound.  That will  never work at the next level.  Didn't appear she had a great deal of jumping ability and has likely always been taller than her opponents and has never had to really work for rebounds.

It's only a 1-game sample and she's just a junior but it's hard for me to see her ever wearing candystripes.

Colfax beaten by Clarkson 59-45.  In 21-22, Colfax was 16-2.  Last year they went 28-0.  This year is clearly a rebuilding year because the team as a whole is not very good which makes it harder to really determine how good McGaughy may be.

In this game she finished with 17p; 17r; 1a; 1s; 1b; 6t.     7-20 FG; 0-1 on 3s; 3-4 FT.

She's the tallest or at the very least one of tallest players on the court and most of her rebounds are flatfooted.  Additionally, at least 4 of her rebounds were on her own shots she missed at the rim.  She attempted 19 2-pt. FG and only 2 were jump shots.  Everything else was in the paint.  Of her 6 TOs, 5 were poor dribbling.

Now a 2-game sample and hard for me to see her playing B1G basketball.

I subjected myself to another Colfax game and unless it becomes apparent we're aggressively recruiting McGaughy it will be the last Colfax game I watch.  It's just bad basketball in Washington.  Even the officials were suspect and let numerous travels and double dribbles go uncalled.  At one point during play 2 of the 3 officials were within 10 feet of each other!

McGaughy finished with 11p; 14r; 1a; 0s; 1b; 4t.  She was 5-12 FG and 1-3 FT.  All 4 TO's were ball handling.  Her rebound totals are deceptive because the shooting percentages from both teams were so poor.  4 of her 12 FGA were jump shots which she missed.

Must see something in her.  Pretty good group of schools.  Maybe, an upside with alot of potential the time she is a junior in college.

Not sure if making the top a12 on a player’s list means much if anything…..until a player cuts list to about 3 or 4.

Why publicly announce list at a dozen?

Why not? Doesn’t affect my life how players choose to announce
