Hate Brehmer starting. He actually has the stamina to go longer than the others, but is just not a great pitcher. He was a mediocre as starter at Wright State and not sure how he gets better in Big Ten.

Having Brehmer starting on a weekend tells you what a mess IU's starting staff is right now. They have good arms but not guys with stamina to throw starter level innings.

This team still can’t pitch. Period.

You called it early  on.  Modugno went 4.2 innings and gave up 5 hits, one a 3-run HR.  He also hit 2 batters giving him 4 on the season in 3 games.  Reese Sharp went 2.2 innings and gave up 4 runs on 5 hits, one a 2-run HR.  Ryan Kraft pitched .2 innings.  We managed 8 hits but scored runs courtesy of 3 Missouri St. errors.

Hoosiers pounded out 16 hits and scored 12 runs in a 12-3 win over Missouri State.  Matthew Ellis with 2 HR and 7 RBI had the hot bat.  Jack Perkins went 6 innings giving up 2 hits and 1 run.  Grant Holderfield pitched a no hit no run inning and Ty Bothwell pitched 2 innings allowing 2 runs giving up 2 hits and walking 4.

Sunday's first pitch scheduled for 2:00.

Hoosier bats stayed hot today and scored 10 runs on 12 hits and won 10-4.  We scored 6 in the first inning.  Matthew Ellis with another big day with 3 RBIs.   Brad Brehmer started on the mound and pitched 6 innings giving up 4 hits and 3 runs; walked 3.  2 of the hits were extra bases, a double and a HR.  Ryan Kraft pitched an inning giving up another MSU run.  Braydon Tucker closed it out.

We have Cincinnati scheduled in Bloomington Tuesday afternoon and Purdue Fort Wayne on Wednesday.  Next weekend we'll  be in Troy, AL for a 3-game series with Troy.

Other than one bad inning the pitching was excellent this weekend.

For this weekend yes but that one bad inning cost you a game. Also, this bullpen still scares me and the starters outside Perkins still not doing well enough. It was better this weekend for sure but there are still questions if this team can pitch well enough.

We are a 4.42ERA outside of the first two games and Stanford. It's been immensely better. We have no Friday night guy for sure and that hurts a ton.

Bothwell, Sharp, Modugno, and Sharp. Gotta get going!!

Kraft, Holderfield, Perkins... and this weekend Brehmer. Tucker has been solid as well. I assume Hayden starts Tues vs Cinci.
