I believe we have locked up at least 3rd now in the Big Ten.

No matter what happens in this second game it is relatively good news. A Maryland win would lock up at least the two seed and a second round home game in the Big Ten Tournament but we would need to beat them to get the one seed and Big Ten Title. A tie means we can clinch at least a share of the Big Ten title and the one seed simply by tying Maryland this weekend. A Penn State win is the least good but means a win or tie with Maryland clinches a top two seed. 

Do we take the safest route and root for Maryland tonight to ensure that second round Big Ten Tournament home game but make title hopes slightly harder or do we root for the tie which puts us in best position to win conference Sunday, but also could drop us to three seed if we lose?

Tough decision, but I think a tie would be a tad bit better

Maryland scores first. If this holds it means IU locks up a top two finish, but would have to beat the Terps to win the Title.

It’s a such a tough call, since I’m only thinking of the regular season Title, but a home semi-final game would be great too

I have no idea why they put Linke on the first game as the "A" announcer for the Big Ten when this is the better game. Not a fan of Voster who is doing this one and love Linke. Maybe Linke likes doing the earlier game better but still think they should of put their best announcer on this game.

Think its safe to say we are getting that top two seed but needing to beat Maryland. PSU is in a funk. 

Also the PSU goalie Shakes is having the worst luck. Had the goal allowed against us on the own goal where he simply just missed being able to reach the wayward header by his defensive teammate Brandon Hackenberg (Christian Hackenberg's brother).

Now its 2-0 with a ball that slides through his legs as he slips on the wet turf trying to make a save.

It is only fair that it comes down to IU and Maryland for all the marbles.

By far the two best soccer schools in conference by a large margin and only ones with a real fan base. Other schools can try and claim to be be soccer schools, but they are lightyears behind IU and Maryland and fluctuate between up and down.
