But so far Archie has yet to assemble a team as good as Crean's most successful teams. True. But after three years, Crean's IU teams had been markedly less successful than Archie's first three IU teams (yes...I agree Crean started with less in the cupboard). In Crean year four--Cody's first year, we had some very big wins, but we were not dominant--Crean's year four IU team finished 27-9, 11-7 for fifth place in the B1G. Archie's has a very well-stocked roster for this year, and I am very optimistic we'll be very happy with the results--they should be comparable to the 9 loss, fifth place in B1G Crean team. Moreover, it seems like Archie has the temperament and the in-state credibility to sustain success at IU. GloryDays 1 Quote

Honkyman Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 As a life-long, hard core Hoosier fan and IU graduate from before the Knight era, I too am hopeful about this season. BTW, neither Crean's nor Miller's first three seasons were particularly successful (and Crean began with less talent). Miller's teams have yet to play to their potential which is the most troubling part of his reign at IU to date. But I agree the team seems poised for a successful 2020-21 season.
