No we don't. Northwestern was a terrible team. We didn't need Penix to win that game. He had missed the previous 1.5 games with an injury, so it's not like we would've been sitting a healthy player. We then had a bye week after the Northwestern game. So Penix would've had an extra 2 weeks to rest up for games we needed our best quarterback in.

If you have a problem with people posting reasonable opinions then maybe message boards aren't the place for you. Sure, I don't have the same information that the coaching staff had. But I do have the information that says that leading up to the Northwestern game, Penix was knocked out of two games and missed three others with injuries. Including the game before the Northwestern game. Sure, hindsight is 20/20, but suggesting before the Northwestern game that our injury prone quarterback should sit out so he's healthy for the next two tough matchups isn't "crap."
