Maybe he was a recruit during the Wilson era? Either way it's strange that he would announce without speaking to the coaching staff and making sure they would honor his commitment.

It isn't unheard of for a recruit to fake an offer list and commit to someone that hasn't even talked to them.  Could be to get IU's attention in hopes of getting an offer or to try to impress fellow classmates.

Who what the case is with this kid.

Not sure and IU has contacted him. Shows papers they sent him with his name on it (per his Twitter) but only offer I'm seeing is Toledo

Watched his film. He's not a bad athlete at at. Just undersized. Makes some nice open field tackles and has a nice acceleration
