Key stats: 179 carries, 2,295 yards, 38 TD (rushing); 32 catches, 543 yards, 5 TD (receiving)

Pivotal point: Rowell remembers playing at Aurora Central as a sophomore in a down season for IC Catholic. The Chargers were 4-0 at the time. "In the middle of the game, we were down by a touchdown, and it basically came to me that I wasn't ready to lose or go down without a fight," he said. He ran for three touchdowns, including the 41-yard game-winner with 38.9 seconds left. IC Catholic won 30-23. "It was that night when I knew I could take over a game. That's when I knew I could be a pretty good football player."

Yeah this kid is committed to Northern Illinois (or was last I knew). IC played in 3A (out of 8) in Illinois and tore everyone up. Went undefeated in a mostly 5-7A conference schedule then rolled to the IHSA title winning every game by at least 30 I believe. Rowell was their bell cow all season from my understanding. He tore up some upper-class playoff teams, a few of which went pretty deep.
