I'd be happy for an official statement that Woodson is retiring/stepping down at the end of the season. That way I can go back to rooting for this team without fear the people in charge will bring him back.

Reviving this thread. A name to consider might be Mark Byington at Vanderbilt. Prior to this year he was at James Madison, and we had some good results with another James Madison coach. Another coach to consider would be Grant McCasland at Texas Tech. The man has won everywhere he's been.

Fire Mike Woodson. Jay Wright is 63 and won't be 64 until December. Just saying.

We played with effort, made a nice comeback, got the crowd excited, and then had no clue what we were doing at the end. The talent is there but effort without direction is often wasted. -

I thought we played with good effort. The intensity seems to be there. Keep hoping "this is the game" that the players figure it out. -
It doesn't seem like the Administration can get Woodson to improve, and it doesn't appear that Woodson can motivate our team to play up to their potential. It's up to the fans that attend the game to provide the impetus for change. I hope poor play and poor effort are met with plenty of boos in our remaining home games. Expectations must be met by IU coaches and players. If not, the coaches, players, and administration must be embarrassed in front of the viewing audience.

After a road victory would be a good time to retire for health reasons.

I do believe this is the way that Woodson operates.

We are going to beat a lot of teams that don't have the personnel to neutralize Ballo. The question is whether Woodson can find a way to beat good teams that can take Ballo away? Unfortunately, we are looking at .500 in the Big Ten again with this talented and experienced roster. Time to move on from Woodson.

I don't remember the poster, but someone was pushing for Leal to start last year and earlier this year. I believe our record when Leal plays over 20 minutes is excellent. I know a counter argument can be made for the reason that's the case, but I would love to see Leal start. It helps to have a guy on the court not looking to score and willing to do the other things necessary to win.

This was my fear. We end up .500 in the Big Ten and we squeak into the Tournament as a 10 seed. If that happens, mediocre Mike will keep his job, and we will never get back to respectability.

We are better when we play half-court basketball. We eliminate silly turnovers by trying to play too fast. Right now, Ballo and Goode should be our focus offensively.

The sad thing is that Ohio State isn't very good.
-
This may actually help us win. A rotation of 10 players destroys chemistry. An 8 man rotation will be much better.
-
This is so sad. Those in charge have ruined IU basketball which is one thing that I've always enjoyed. I want Woodson gone so we at least will have hope to improve in the future. I can't enjoy an IU victory because of my fear the decision makers will somehow bring Woodson back next year. Fire Woodson now so we can root for this team without fear that Woodson will be back next year.

I would love for Dusty to be our coach, but let's not get too crazy. We have a very talented roster and we are capable of beating any team in the Big Ten. I can see us beating Michigan and that won't change the fact that Dusty would be a better coach for IU than Woodson.

Would we even play in the NIT? We bailed last year.
