Stevens is not a candidate because he's already accepted the job. Optimism rules!

He'd be a good hire. I think the fact that he has more of a Texas footprint and not Midwest concerns some people.

NBA teams rely heavily on the point guard creating their own shot or making a play for someone else in key situations. Rice has not yet developed into that player. Woodson is lost without a star go to player.

Actually, I think Goodman may be putting the damper on Stevens to IU at the request of Dolson and Stevens. It isn't the right time for an announcement, IU still has a season to finish and the later the better for Stevens. Goodman released the Woodson story first. He may be banking some favors from Dolson for future news. This may have been tactical to lower the temperature on an announcement were not ready to make. Shockingly, I've become an optimist.

What are peoples' thoughts on Tommy Lloyd? He has a great record at UofA.

I still wonder about the optics with some older former players if Dolson forces out a former IU player and replace him with a former IU manager.

Unfortunately, IU missed their window to hire Dusty last year. The good news is that Brad won an NBA Championship last year and he has one last accomplishment on his bucket list and that is to win an NCAA Championship with IU.

After the season tanked, Woodson decided to make some changes to try salvaging the season. He hasn't religiously stuck to the 2 first half fouls benching A lot of posters on this board have been asking for these changes. It just took a coach making 4 million a year a little while to figure out something that educated fans have been saying for a while. Enjoy retirement Mike Woodson!

More of this! It's obvious our team is excited about possibly playing for Stephens and are playing smarter and with more effort. If just the rumor of Stevens can improve our team, just imagine how well we will play when he's our actual coach!
