  1. It’s obvious that Bardo doesn’t like IU or any player on the IU team
  2. When was the last time IU beat an opponent by 50+ points? I honestly think Bethune-Cookman is as good as Morehead State. Also, last year we would have beaten them by 28 or less. That is how much better this team is than last year!!!
  3. This team has the potential to be really good!!! They are fun to watch!!!
  4. Well start a Schitwarber thread so I don’t have to read on a IU basketball game thread.
  5. I don’t care that he played baseball for IU, he was a Cub and I can’t stand the Cubs!
  6. This is a IU basketball game thread, not a K king Schwarbbbbbbbyyyyyy thread. Can’t stand the guy!
  7. I agree with IU Scott, how do we know 3 point shooting is their weakness! I know the opponent wasn’t good but they still had to knock down open shots and they did to the tune of 42%. A very, very small sample size but they did shoot it better than they have in most games last year!
  8. Is that coach Ya?
  9. Tuesday at 9 AM. I am taping it and will watch it after work.
  10. Everyone just needed to be patient. Last year was a transition and learning yea for both CMW, the assistant coaches and players. CMW has a defensive system that he wanted to install first and he knows you win games with defense and he really didn’t install much offensive sets until late in the year. After everyone has had a year under their belts, you will see much improvement offensively and the defense will still be there too!
  11. It was explained over and over, it was CMW’s first year in which he 100% committed to teaching defense and did not concentrate a lot on offense last year until late in the year. Hence, why we plays a little better offensively down the stretch but we still had guys who couldn’t shoot the 3 consistently. That is something you will see improved, how much is to be determined! This team will be good defensively and better offensively!
  12. Calpari confirms, it’s almost official!!! https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/kentuckys-john-calipari-confirms-series-with-iu-basketball-will-return-in-2025/
  13. I think they are ranked about right because this current group hasn’t accomplished a lot outside of finally making the tournament; however, I do think they could be a top 10 team but they have to have better outside shooting and ball movement! This comment is about the many comments on Woodson’s offense last year. It was his 1st year and he concentrated so much on putting his defensive philosophy in, he didn’t teach or install a lot of offensive schemes until he got X and TJD to do the pick and roll. That definitely paid off. Now over a full year of most of the players playing for CMW and adding talented freshman, the offense should flow better, IMO
  14. I still say this: “come tournament time and that’s when he should most likely shorten the rotation”. It just makes since to have our top 8 players fresher come tournament time by utilizing a deeper bench during the season. If we play only 8 guys, who would you say sits? Galloway, Geronimo, Bates, Reneau just to name 4 and there maybe others who emerge worthy of minutes
  15. Well I disagree, I think the depth is there to play 10. Also, none of them team you mentioned made the final 4. With College Basketball playing more games now, depth is important to allow teams to be a little fresher come tournament time and that’s when he should most likely shorten the rotation, IMO
  16. Like it or not, he’s playing a 10 man rotation and it’s obvious you don’t want him to play 10 guys. Well he’s the coach and in CMW I trust plus he has the personnel to play a 10 man rotation
  17. I’m sorry, but CMW will play at least 10 and he will stay with it all year. He made a statement the other day that the 2nd 5 has played better than the 1st 5 and have beaten them on occasion.
  18. I agree! The one and done isn’t sustainable, IMO. Kensucky has had their issues of late. 2 years and a lottery pick won’t hurt the recruiting either
  19. Then Calbert wouldn’t be the B10’s leading scorer.
  20. I agree! I think it will be Malik, Banks, with Logan coming off the bench, IMO. We aren’t desperate for another big, but it would be nice if we could obtain Page.
  21. I would put Edwards in the top 10 for and possibly top 5 scorers in IU history, me comparing him to May and Woodson was an example of that and a true compliment to his scoring abilities. As far as clutch, he was top 3 or the best. Even though a lot of people overlook him as a clutch scorer, Keith Smart could be up there as well. But Edwards was really good at it!
  22. He definitely could score the basketball and had a smooth stroke. I think Alford was a better shooter. Also, Woody and Scott May were as good as scorers but I would rate Edwards up there with them, he just didn’t play as long at IU as them
  23. I would like to see him pick IU, but his entire recruit just seems exhausting. I am sure most recruitments are like this and I can’t imagine what Woodson and staff go through for each and every recruitment
