I think the mid-range is OK and I agree with everything else you said. I was listening to a college bball station in Sirus XM and they said that exact thing. The B10 needs to totally get away from the Purdue style of play and get to a style of play you described. They said that is the main reason why the B10 hasn’t had a National Title since 2001. They also said Matt Painter is a relic or fossil with his coaching style and only focuses on winning the B10 and not the big picture, the NCAA tournament

Have they actually declared who the POY is? If the NCAA tournament games count towards how they determine POY, last nights game may have moved the needle closer to TJD being POY and it may have put him ahead. The key play for 40 minutes! When was the time we done that, Purdue? This team has the makeup and similarities to the 2002 team. I don’t know about getting to the FF4, but the elite 8 is a possibility, especially with the Sasser injury.

Personally, since his injury, Race hasn’t been the same player. I actually think he hurts us more than he helps us! Also, he’s never been a smart player but he doesn’t play like an experienced 6th year college player

I know, perplexing! The coach can’t play for them and it’s like the players can’t figure out how to change this issue themselves. It’s something that’s been around since Archie Miller was the coach, I think it’s a carryover and mindset. Although, half the battle is admitting you have a problem, it’s now or never, time to change the narrative

They’ve gotten more breaks over the years than we have and have especially gotten their share and then some this year. It seems the injury bug hit some other teams like it has us, but it hit us way more than any team, except Purdue. They have not had any issues with injuries that I know of, except Gillis went down a few games earlier this year. It appears they’ve gotten their share of breaks even from the injury bug. I guess Houston’s best player is out with a groin injury

That’s what I wish and wonder why CMW didn’t when we had the under 4 timeout. 1-2 minutes more and we had them. Also, when we were down 2 and Penn State had the ball with 36.5 seconds left, I would have played straight up D and not foul, instead Race fouled with 17 seconds left and we went down 3 and that led to Schifino’s 3 point shot. That was one of many boneheaded plays that Race has done and I thought we should have went with a straight line drive to the basket, who knows maybe we could have gotten an and 1. I sure hope MW recruits smarter players.
