  1. Again, see my post above! Malik is a decent free throw shooter for a big, I would let him close out games over Race any day
  2. I 100% agree with you! He made some bone head plays that a kindergartner would not make, hence the exaggeration! He makes me want to pull out my hair but I don’t have any because I shave my head! For a 6th year college player, he sure as heck doesn’t play like one, I’ve seen a lot of freshman that doesn’t play like that, JHS is one of them. I can’t help but have nightmares about his 4 missed free throws that would have closed out a game and last nights boneheaded plays. I think everyone is getting the picture. He shouldn’t be closing out games, IMO!
  3. For many reasons: 1) we’ve looked fatigued 2) sloppy play at times 3) no bench support 4) home and away shooting numbers from 3
  4. Honestly, I don’t think there is that much difference between the 2 and 3 seeds; however, I agree with you, I wouldn’t mind playing Maryland on a neutral court
  5. One thing about it, this team finds ways to win while almost finding ways to lose too! It’s kind of hard to have any post season success when a team reply’s so heavily on one or two players in most games! You need to have a more balanced scoring team with at least 4 players averaging double figures but have a go to guy and a guy who can create his own shot with the shot clock winding down. This team has 2 of the 3, though! The later 2, which has carried us all season
  6. I think this is the right move by X and IU!
  7. By rights it shouldn’t count as a game at all, especially if he went down in the 1st half, I can’t remember which half. But on his stats, it counts as a game played i went back and looked at the box score and he only played 8 minutes, that should not count as a game played
  8. Geronimo will transfer
  9. Even though he got his points, it was obvious to me that TJD didn’t show any energy! How many 50-50 balls did we not get because of effort and energy? Instead of getting on the floor, I seen them too many reaching for the ball (imagine a facepalm)
  10. I don’t think it was the game plan execution, although we will never know, but it was a lack of toughness, energy, effort, and game plan execution that led to their lackluster/disappointing/humiliating play last night. We have won 1 then lost 1 over the past 6 games. It's like we can't sustain any energy the next game after a win. That's a bad trend too! I will say this, if this is how they are going play after a big win, they'll go 1 and done in the dance. They were a 3 seed in the B10 tournament and a double bye, now who knows where they will land. Also, they were in line to land a 3 seed in the dance, now they could land on the 5 or 6 seed line. Not acceptable from a team that has swept the #5 team in the country. I wouldn't have been that upset if we lost as long as the team competed, gave effort and played with energy! Again, totally unacceptable!!!! After a big win, that’s when the leadership is supposed to step up so we don’t have let downs, where was that last night and the other 3 losses after a win?
  11. If he is not guaranteed to be a lottery pick, which he isn’t right now, he will come back because if he gets drafted late 1st round, he could have to go to the G League and he will make less money than he would at IU with NIL money
  12. That’s a big if, and that’s if he returns Tuesday. Personally, I don’t see him returning at all, IMO. Last I heard, he still not doing contact
  13. It just seems we got a lot of chippy fouls called against us
  14. That’s a major problem!
  15. My gut tells me that’s exactly what CMW was saving him for, to make his first appearance back at home and receive a standing O. I’ve seen BK bring back players like that. It could get X off to a good start but he needs to be in a limited reserve role if he does come back. I still think he needs more than 3 possible games to get into game shape
  16. That’s the only way he should play if he comes back, IMO
  17. I agree, I don’t like this stupid unbalanced schedule. I believe we played one of the hardest in the conference and Purdue played one of the easiest.
  18. CMW out coached Painter
  19. Which I think is bad scheduling by the B10 and this unbalanced scheduling that I hate because they have too many teams. We haven’t had a week off since the B10 resumed back in January and we looked beat down and tired against MSU. We could’ve sure used a week off. Purdue on the other hand looked much fresher in their last game, gave a beat down to Ohio State, and was able to rest their starters. Plus their bench production has been much better than ours. Talk about a big disappointment, what was supposed to be an asset for our team has been a giant disappointment!
  20. I would like to see a better effort than what we had at MSU! We came out of the gate strong but lost our energy about 12-14 minutes into the game. Win or lose, just better effort, and rebounding and defense is effort. How I see it, the only way we win this game is to shut down their guards and Mason Gills and for Tamar Bates, Reneau, and Galloway all finish with 8-12 points. I don’t see that happening.
  21. I concur with both Banks and Geronimo
  22. I know this is a Michigan State thread but I can’t stand the unbalanced schedules that the B10 has created because of the extra teams and playing 20 games. IU hasn’t had a week off since B10 resumed and to throw salt into our tired wound, Purdue almost gets an entire week off before our game against them. So we are extremely unlucky to have to play a well rested Purdue team. Their last game was a blowout against OSU in which their main players rested for the biggest part of the 2nd half
  23. I 100% agree and if he isn’t a lottery pick there is always that chance he would start out in the G League and he’ll make more $$ at IU with NIL
  24. If he isn’t a guaranteed lottery pick, he’ll be back!
  25. Lord help us if he becomes a starter, he can’t even produce consistently in the role he is in, which leads me to believe he has never accepted his role
