I actually think he should transfer to Ball State. He would probably be one of their leading scorers and would have a great last year. To me, if he transfers to Turdue, he would be in the same role as IU. If I were him, I would want to be one of the best players on a team, instead of a role player

Like stated in the article, many things are written that may not be true either but people are believing them. And because it’s Dane Fife, who seems rash and very opinionated like DD, people automatically don’t like him. I’ve been a supporter of CMW, but many people on here have noticed that CMW has a stubbornness about and that may lead to having an ego and him and Fife may not have seen things the same and Fife may have been too opinionated and for that he may have been fired; however, all that other crap that came out afterwards isn’t fact either and yet people are choosing to believe that. That is what I agree with from the article, all that other stuff coming out because CMW made it clear to let everyone know he was fired instead of taking the high road. This may cause some damage to the program and university but it definitely will hurt Fife’s career. What happens if all or most of that stuff wasn’t true? My opinion on the entire matter really doesn’t matter, but I still think, knowing CMW’s stubbornness, that Fife was a little to opinionated on many things that happened throughout the season, and called CMW out on it and he didn’t like it and finally had enough and fired him. If Some of that stuff really happened earlier in the year, why didn’t Woodson fire him then?

I knew there was more to this story than meets the eye. According to this article the stuff everyone is saying about Fife isn’t necessarily true and he deserves better than that. I knew they were rumors and now those rumors may cause severe damage to his coaching career because Mike Woodson’s ego got in the way and he wanted to send a message loud and clear that Dane Fife was fired instead of taking the high road. Yes, he handled it totally wrong and instead of closing the gap with fans and former players, he just made it much wider because he wanted to let everyone know he’s in charge. Is anyone, other than me, concerned with Walsh’s lack of assistant coaching and recruiting experience. I understand he did a good job on recruiting Cupps, but recruiting 1 top 100 player doesn’t qualify you to have a major role in recruiting and assist in coaching. I know he’s got to learn this role sooner or later but not at a major D1, power 5 conference program. I’m afraid it’s going to put a lot of pressure on Kenya and Ya on the recruiting role. Thoughts!

It’s mostly likely a good coach and bad fit! It was stated that CMW didn’t like the fact that Dolson hired Matta and he darn sure mostly likely didn’t like Dolson hiring an assistant for him! I am starting to think CMW maybe a total control freak!

Ding ding ding! The hammer has hit the nail!!!! I’ve been a big supporter of CMW but there is a lot of stuff that doesn’t add up! I say right the wrong and try to hire Keith Smart away from Arkansas!

I have been a CMW supporter since he was hired; however, this is not the first time it has been mentioned that CMW wants yes men and only listens to a select few. His stubbornness has been well documented on this board and now this entire thing is painting a bad image of him. I think think there is two sides to every story, but where there is smoke, there maybe fire. It was made public that Woodson wasn’t happy that Dolson hired Thad Matta and truth be told, he wasn’t happy that he hired Fife either and it could have been possible that CMW got rid of him the first chance he got and all the other crap we are hearing isn’t true but just smoke cover!

If Boroski is the official, that will help Purdue and could help them defensively. Everyone one know they play defense by holding players and when they get those calls, it will play to their advantage

This is what it seems to me. I have been a CMW supporter but something isn’t adding up here. There is evidence of CMW’s stubbornness and I heard Fife bumped heads with him but it was primarily because of CMW’s willingness to keep starting and playing Kopp and Stewart. I heard Fife kept telling him to start Phinesee and Galloway because they were better defensively than Kopp and Stewart since they haven’t been giving us anything offensively. I think this looks bad because he is an IU man and he was told he would be the successor once CMW would step down. Not good IMO. Also, some say he hasn’t done well in recruiting but didn’t he recruit Cupps? I believe he just won’t Ohio Mr. Basketball.

I actually like that lineup if it can develop. One good thing, we could and should control the defensive glass and possibly increase our offensive rebounding

He sounds like TJD except for making jump shots.
