Not the way I heard it

You got it ace!!! There didn’t seem to be a lot of thought process involved after last Monday, IMO These committee members should not ever be allowed back, IMO. The last several days and the weekend leading up to selection Sunday should have been the most involved and intensive, but the brackets were pretty much set Monday.

That’s good info to know when I fill out my bracket

It was way before Saturday night, the Committee chairman admitted as much

It’s because the committee had the bracket done before the major conference tournaments started. They already had Michigan in as an 11th seed and they weren’t changing it win or lose. They had Iowa as a 5 seed and after winning the B10 tournament should have moved up to a 4 or 3 seed but didn’t. IU was one of the bubble teams and was out but only made it in as the last 4 in because of their two wins in the B10 tournament. They should have moved up to at least an 11 seed, but the committee wasn’t making any changes to the bracket, that’s why the slotted IU, ND & Rutgers where they did. The committee never took the tournaments into consideration and they were lazy, IMO. Maybe they only wanted to not spend a lot of time and have more free time, who knows

The committee used the numbers to a degree before the conference tournaments started and a drafted bracket, then they just tweaked it with the teams that made runs but wasn’t in the field, I still think that’s how we were the last 4 in. We weren’t in the field originally and after beating Michigan and Illinois we got in slot as a last 4. I think they had Illinois and Michigan both seeded exactly where they are and never moved them after their loses to IU. The committee chair pretty much said it that way, which to me it’s flat out lazy.

My brother lived in Cheyenne for 10 years and Laramie is less than 100,000, they are just a fuzz over 32,000. Actually smaller than Muncie

Laramie, Wyoming has a population as big as Muncie, Indiana

I’m glad but they still seemed irrelevant. So why play them?

Could happen! One positive about playing in Dayton, we should have a very very large crowd!

So why play the conference tournaments if they are irrelevant.

I thought I heard the Commissioner say they had the brackets done prior to conference tournaments but left some spots open for a couple party crashers. If that was true, that means the conference tournaments didn’t matter and they are just plain lazy!

They had to take into consideration our overall conference record. I think we got hosed. Other than our overall conference record, what else would they said would have justify us being that last team in

I hope so. Michigan State was a little higher than I thought

After the way we played in the B10 tournament and against Purdue , I don’t think we have too many matchup issues. Even if we play a team not good offensively but stingy defensively, we still matchup ok with them!

Rutgers earn the 4th seed in this years B10 tournament and you are leaving them off?

I expect CMW to address that even more next year.

I think we lost our legs defensively. All-in-all, I am proud of the way we played and this is how I envisioned us playing for most of the year. If we play like that in the tournament, we can compete and beat any team in the tournament.

I do think Geronimo could have helped guard Murray and maybe cause him to miss a few shots or keep him from getting a couple of those offensive rebounds but the committee isn’t going to care that A bench role player was out. I think he put that out there like everyone put their comments out there.
