I say there is some truth to what you are saying. That play at the end of the Purdue was a prime example. He has done something like that probably at least 10 times and none of them have been called. He has played really well the last 10 games or so and he has really improved throughout the season; however, he has not made winning plays down the stretch of a tight game. He makes poor decisions quite often or he tries to be the hero when he should be setting up his teammates to make winning plays. One think he has done was quit making boneheaded plays throughout an entire game and has kept his composure for the most part -
It is Illinois who is the #1 seed now. Back to back, worse possible draw we could ever have. Like I said, we can’t catch a break. We matchup poorly against both teams!

IU to face the worst possible opening round matchup other than Illinois. We play Michigan on Thursday, they bombarded us at Assembly Hall in January back when they weren’t playing well. Now they are playing better and we been limping through the end of the season. Also, if we win, we get another kick in the groin because we might have to play Illinois. We can’t catch a break. That is the two worst back to back draws we could ever have. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-bask ... nt-opener/

Nebraska just beat Wisconsin. I’m not liking it. That means if Illinois wins they will tie Wisconsin for 1st and they own the tie breaker. We definitely don’t matchup well with Illinois. Dickburn has owned TJD.

But hasn’t hit for a high percentage but I would rather RP start over P Stew because he been with the team for 4 years, not 1. -

Who else on this team has shot 3’s decent enough to warrant PT. He’s been our best 3 point shooter, which isn’t saying much, but he just isn’t our best clutch 3 point shooter. I don’t think we have one of those; therefore, I guess Stewart is the best option. Even though he hasn’t proved it all year, I would like for us to set up that exact play for Kopp because at least he was hitting his. Finally, I noticed the Stewart is more of a catch and shoot guy and hasn’t shot it well when he’s on the move like that -

We still have a Men’s program they need to concentrate on and grow too -

I am not upset with the way we played for the most part. X was outstanding for the majority of the game minus the miscue on the TJD alley oop and that last play in which was a play he has never gotten called all year. Kopp finally showed up, Stewart struggled yet again, Race didn’t score as much as he has the last 12 or so games, but all-in-all this team played hard and had a chance to win but like usual, had trouble closing out games -

Don’t count your chickens before they hatch. We have proven we can compete against the best teams in the league. We should of beat the top two teams twice, Wisky and Turdue -

Yes, I am sort of at that point too! We are dedicated fans; however, sometimes we end up taking it to far. -

It’s because we are fans and we cheer and support our team through thick and thin. Yes, it’s been extremely thin the last 14 plus years and it’s tried our patience and these last two years we have been firmly in the tournament to lay the biggest crap in In IU basketball history in the month of February has tested us all as fans. I am a firm believer that what comes around goes around, history repeats itself and IU will be on top again. I don’t know how and I don’t know when, but I do believe we will get there. I just hope it’s sooner rather than later! -

We are 10 point underdogs at Turdue. My nephew, who is a Turdue fan, he thinks we have a shot in this game because Turdue isn’t playing well. If we can miraculously pull this game out, it could project back in firmly into the tournament. We need 2 wins or 1 win at Turdue would equal 2 wins in the B10 tournament, IMO GO HOOSIERS!!!! Kick some Turdue butt!! -

I do think that is the impression some are giving. I said you have to at least give him 3 years and that set some off. We can’t be a program who fires coaches after 1 year for not making the tournament, we’ll never land a good coach. Coaches need 3-4 years to get their type of recruits and to establish the type of culture program they want to have. -

It’s also because they don’t want to change the culture. Once you do that and the next coach doesn’t work out, you end up in mediocrity. IU could he considered case and point -

Perfectly said. The fanbase has never had the win at all cost attitude and we shouldn’t but having 6 straight seasons and 12 of the last 14 not making it to the tournament can weigh on a fanbase and it is completely understandable but we need to stop because it’s beneath us! -

Not according to that article, he wants him to post up which is best for the team. To me, they are saying contradicting things -

I’ve been a Mike Woodson supporter and have given him the benefit when others were frustrated and upset with his coaching moves; however, when I read this article I now may have a totally new perspective. We just got rid of a coach that was stubborn and stuck in his coaching ways and CMW had restricted TJD’s ability to shoot midrange shots or let him step away from the floor. CMW was asked in an interview why TJD doesn’t shoot outside shots and his exact words was I don’t restrict from stepping out and taking those shots. According to this article, TJD stated the CMW wants him to post up and be a back to the basket player because that is best for the team. Honestly, it is not. It would have suited TJD and really benefit the team if he was able to step out away from the basket and hit some jumpers which would have open things up for him and the team and pull the opposing big away from the basket. I am starting to develop a different attitude and perspective on CMW and that some of the things I’ve been hearing may be fairly true. https://www.kansas.com/sports/college/article259050488.html -

Great post and you are 100% correct. I am optimistic about the future and even though he still has a lot to learn about CBB, there were some bright spots this season. Barring a miracle finish, it didn’t meet my expectations but some players didn’t produce as expected and just maybe my expectations were a little high. But all-in-all the season wasn’t horrible and I believe we were in about every game we lost and with a 3 pointer or two or a better bounce of the ball, maybe everyone would be discussing the season differently
