I get that, and very understanding. I think we all feel that way but that is why the culture has to change, we need to break the cycle. Let me state it another way, I have faith in CMW and staff to guide this team to turn this thing around and that starts with Wisky coming into our house! I say this, Wisconsin is a must win for many reasons!

I want to add that since the Nebraska game we are 3-4 and we won those games because of the supporting cast around TJD because he hasn’t been the same player since that game, when he got hurt! I have faith that this team will respond and turn it around.

Bates reminds me a lot of a lefty Ricky Calloway, I think he’ll take a big step next year.

And we only had a few decent pieces not many good pieces.

That’s just it, Bates has had 1 game and the rest have been a mixed bag with a lot of inconsistency. I doubt that CMW will start him based off of what he has done with the starting lineup all year and Bates last game performance but what a major lift for his confidence if CMW were to start him. i actually would like for Bates to start over Kopp! Kopp has brought nothing to the table, definitely not what we were expecting. Maybe he so wrapped up in podcast, he hasn’t concentrated on his game!

That part is perplexing, CMW not developing an offense to utilize some of the players strengths. It is a wonder what screen 45 would do right now for our offense.

Bates is one of handful that is a multi-dimensional player as I think Schifino and Banks are by some of the highlights that I’ve seen.

Yes, I believe we will be playing more motion in the future once CMW can get his type of player in here. That is someone who isn’t offensive challenged or 1-dimensional as I’ve described in other posts. I just think that we have to have faith.

I think the offense is the biggest problem. We all would like to see more movement/motion. I was hoping we would have a motion offense by now but I don’t think it’s going to happen and here is why. We all agree we have a personnel problem. This roster is poorly put together because we have way too many 1-dimensional players. To play a motion offense like Knight did, you have to have at least 4 players who can score from multiple places on the court and sometimes on the move, like with a shot fake and do a couple dribbles and pull up. Who on this team can do that consistently? Several have tried but haven’t been successful. Of the 13 scholarship players, I would say a handful can do it in this team and some that can do that have trouble on the defensive end. So that’s where we are with this team, as frustrating as it is!

Honestly, I am very disappointed with our offense. I did actually think when CMW got the job we would be playing more motion. I don’t know why we aren’t and only Woody and staff knows. I personally think it’s a lack of personnel issues. We have too many 1-Dimensional players offensively and motion offense may not work well with those types of players.

Yes, I am really pulling for CMW as we all should be. I agree, the signs are there but there are other signs too that show improvement. I think it’s best to let this season play out and hope this so called drunk ship gets steered in the right direction. I also think we owe him at least 3 years like the previous 2 coaching staffs. The biggest question, if CMW doesn’t work out, where do we go from here?

I 100% agree. The lack of movement is perplexing and even when there movement, there isn’t any sharp cutting or setting up your defender to move off a screen. I watched Bates pass the ball down to TJD in the post, he made a cut down the lane and it was a slow methodical movement that was useless. It wasn’t made with purpose, quick, or any type of deception. It was like he was doing it because he was supposed to, more like memorization, IMO!

I agree, he is probably the only go to guy we have but I think Race has gotten closer. Our guard play does suck but I think Bates will greatly improve next year. I am hoping Galloway improves his outside shot but it’s so ugly, I don’t see it. I just think when the ball goes into the post, guys stand around too much. Yes, CMW and staff should have fixed that but they haven’t. Kopp has truly been a big disappointment and Stewart hasn’t been as good as what some of us thought he would be and X is bi-polar of a player. I think because of that, this team may have reached it’s ceiling, which isn’t good

I didn’t use the word dynamic, you did. I just think we’ll have more motion. I just think TJD is very limited offensively because he can’t or doesn’t shoot more than 3 feet away from the basket and it just slows down the offense. Yes, CMW should have fixed it, but I still think guys would stand around even if he did. I think they are waiting for him to make a move and he doesn’t seem to make it fast enough.

I see your point but the only thing I am saying these players developed some of these habits under the previous coaching regime, I think we’ve got to give CMW and staff time to teach them good habits. I really feel these things will eventually get fixed, it will take some time. I can see a guy like TJD have a ball rack on each side, grabbing the balls as fast as possible like he’s on a timer to practice his free throws until he gets to 100 shots, instead of trying to practice a routine, no matter how long it takes to reach a certain percentage. I am just hypothetically thinking. Bad habits, no matter what they are, are hard to undo and I think these players don’t look at shooting free throws as fun, stylish, and important. I think they feel it is a chore and something they have to do. If TJD worked on free throws as hard as he dunks, he would be shooting 80%, lol.

He isn’t a 4 either. Most 4’s can hit outside shots, TJD can’t. He isn’t good up close either, unless he is dunking the ball. I like TJD, he is a Hoosier but think once he is gone, our offense will be much better and less predictable!

Even though he didn’t play for him, Parker Stewart should go on that list because Miller recruited him and I know he practiced with them last year. Yes, CMW re-recruited them but it was either that or start from scratch. I know CMW is responsible for the offense and I do believe it should be better than it is and we should play uptempo more but I still think the offense will get so much faster and better when TJD leaves. I noticed once the ball goes into him, most everyone stays station around him and when they cut, it’s not sharp/hard cuts. One of the announcers said something that made since, TJD needs to make his move or decision quicker. It’s like he can’t pass on the move or he can’t read the defense properly

Yes, actually for about 3/4ths of the game. My wife and have hike a lot in Arizona, Southern Nevada and Southeastern California areas. We love hiking in those areas, like Sedona, Joshua Trees NP, Death Valley NP, Havasu Falls And Grand Canyon NP.

Well considering he recruited most of them and the majority of the roster played him, he is partly to blame, the rest should fall on CMW and staff for not figuring out this offensive deficiencies.

I agree, CMW will get us back, just not with this roster. This roster has too many flaws but things will change by year 3, IMO

X became bi-polar again! I thought he put that behind him? He made too many ill-advised bad decisions down the stretch that cost us any chance to get any momentum in this game

I agree Hoosier Aloha, we were getting better, gaining confidence now look where we are.

We are about to let another chance at an NCAA tournament invite. Wisky is a must win IMO
