We did have one of those games. It was against Purdue and RP was that guy!

He’s shooting around 45% from 3. Other than the air ball you brought up, when he shoots it, I feel like it’s going in. He’s a much better shooter than Kopp is. Actually, he’s our best 3 point shooter, so he does serve a point. Plus, he’s an IU Hoosier, we want all of them to do well and succeed

Nice half. I hate to say it, but our offense moves more when Trayce is on the bench and Race is playing the 5.

If we lose this game, this will definitely be a bad loss

Keep in mind, Penn State out rebounded us by a lot and TJD only had 5 rebounds

But he doesn’t get there. One change could make all the difference. Take Kopp out and either add Galloway or Geronimo

There maybe something underlying here. Maybe he made promises and don’t want to go back on it until he feels like he’s given them a fair shot. We all think that ship has sailed but he is the head coach and it goes by his timeline. He’ll decide when enough is enough. Honestly, if he made one change by sitting Kopp and inserting Galloway or Geronimo, we would all be happy or pacified!

Isn’t that what we all want? I think CMW wants to give them a chance to dig themselves out of this poor start and play. I think the leash is very short for the current starters, specifically Kopp & Stewart.

I noticed that! Wasn’t that one of the things he was supposed to work on on the off season? If he did, he must have decided he sucks at it and stopped working on it! It would do this team and him a lot of good if he could step out and hit some 15-18 footers, but the way he shoots free throws, he’s going to be worse at that with someone guarding him

I think that is rather obvious over the past 2+ years. He’s giving up 3-7 inches with some of them. I think anyone may have issues with them plus he maybe giving 20-40 lbs too. He is a power forward, that can’t shoot from outside of 6 feet, playing center.

It’s going to take CMW at least 2 full years to change the culture and mindset of the players, maybe even 3. In the meantime, this kind of green beans after a big win maybe the result. I like the fact that CMW took responsibility for their loss and didn’t point fingers at the players. He is learning that as a coaching staff, they can’t assume the leadership is there after a big game to be ready for their next game.

It’s because we have everything run through TJD and they wait for him to make a move. I still can’t figure out why the person passing into the post, goes to make a pick/screen off the ball and that person cuts to the open spot vacated by the passer/screener to get an open look instead of all standing and waiting

It’s too much relying on TJD. Honestly, I would rather see TJD average 14-16 points per game and have two others averaging double figures. I think CMW needs to get others involved and have a more balanced scoring

Stewart is close, I just think CMW needs to keep running sets for him, specifically starting the game to get him going and involved

If you noticed late in 2nd half, he ran several sets for Stewart to get some 3’s and that required people setting screens and him moving. Most of the time I see Stewart and Kopp standing in one spot and not moving. I thought our offense was going to be constant movement like that; however, it’s primarily throwing the ball into the post to TJD or Race and everyone else standing around waiting for them to make a play or kick it out when they are double team. I thank we can do both, pass into the post then go screen away and have someone curl off a screen and TJD feeds him for a wide open shot! Simple basketball and a way to get Stewart and Kopp more involved

Of course it was! We lost by 18 at home after just beating our Rival and #4 ranked team Turdue! We should have come out with more energy and fire, instead they allowed UM to punch us in the mouth and we never matched their energy the entire game. BAD LOSS!!!

Heck no they don’t! Not when you are playing at home. I can see it happening on the road but not at home. We seemed stuck in the mud to start the game and we never could match their energy. Our starting 5 has been notorious at not getting off to good starts at the beginning of the game and the beginning of the 2nd half. I think it is time to shake that part of it up. He needs to split up Kopp and Stewart.
